Y’know what I find amazing? During the beginning, the girls are all wearing pink and the boys are wearing blue. Like a classic gender reveal people typically wear the color that they think the gender is. But the mom is wearing white, and the whole video she is blessed to have any child, no matter the gender.

I am the first child of the family and so when my grandfather's sister found out that I am a girl, she was furious. She wanted the first child of the family to lead which apparently only 'men' can do. She was upset for quite sometime but eventually after my grandma and grandfather convinced her multiple times that I can lead just as well as anyone else, she slowly accepted it.

I remember coming across a video on Instagram a few years ago starting with a guy holding cards, telling viewers that he’s about to get a “your gonna be a dad” surprise but when he found out he was furious and yelled at his wife/girlfriend that they haven’t even talked about having kids so he stormed off leaving the poor woman deviated, leaving family and friends to comfort her. It’s sad to watch honestly, what’s even worse, this happens in real life. that’s why I still remember this.

As a Chinese girl, this is actually happened to my family. My father expect a boy as a 3rd child but I'm the 3rd child, he gets stressed out because there's only one boy (He's the 2nd child) so he cheated on my mother. But then there's my grandma who has pure asian mother energy decided to tell my mother to chase him around the city with either a kitchen knife or a wooden sandal my aunty use. He ended up apologise to all of us though my grandmother kinda threaten him a bit, but we forgive him. (My father isn't Asian but he always wanted to have a Chinese baby boy and he only got one which is my older brother).

I love how that one guy was like “ a PANDA donut, like how do you come up with that!”like it’s hard to think of a random animal donut.

This is actually quite common in Chinese culture. Same thing happened to me except it was my grandma (my mom's mother) who couldn't accept that I was born a girl.
