White guy is El-P. He legendary in his own right as well. Not only is he a producer, rapper, he also is the owner of Definitive Jux record label which released cannibal ox album, Murs, Aesop rock, and Del the funky homosapien's albums and was legendary in the alternative hip-hop scene before starting his record label and doing Run The Jewels with killer Mike.

@mranonomousperson Mike is also an avowed capitalist, landlord, business owner, and banker now. He somehow believes black people can uplift themselves while working within the system of capitalism. He also ran PR for the NRA. Don't get me wrong, I like Killer Mike and when he speaks on the problems in America, he isn't wrong. His answers and solutions to those problems leaves a lot up to debate though. There's a black youtuber I really like who broke this down on a video about black capitalists and another one on Killer Mike specifically. Check out F.D. Signifier
What is truly special is to watch that young man enjoy time with his Dad you can tell they love each deeply. Nothing like a Father and Son love.

El-p is straight from the new York gutter underground sound of the 90's. His production has always been forward thinking with a gritty, hard futuristic sound. Definitely check out more run the jewels or the album R.A.P music by killer Mike (produced by El-P).

Finally. Thank you.
The video (it explains quite a bit at the beginning) is about the time when we all come together, rise up, fight the establishment for our freedoms and ascertain peace. At that point there is no need for money. So everyone is burning it. Because its all about love and helping one another. At which point, money is worthless.
lol he straight up said El-P looked like a welder. This was awesome

Thank you CJ's Dad!! Thank you for dropping the knowledge on Greg Nice. He has been around since I was a little one!! Did not know that but LOVE his performance in "Ooh La La." Thank you for the additional background info on Killer Mike, as well. I knew he ran with Big Boi and the Goodie Mob, but didn't know the depth of Killer Mike's activism with Bernie Sanders. El-P intrigues me, too. He's got that Irish temperament that I like in white boys who are respectable. El-P is cool. Have the two of you watched "Trigger Warning with Killer Mike" on Netflix? He goes DEEP into his politics, which involves creating a third party / independent nation! He is serious when he preaches "kill your masters." Thank you for the informative video. Kudos to you both. CJ's Dad, you're gonna have to tell us your name at some point...are you Generation X?
The White guy is El-P. He also produces the beats. (And did it for Company Flow and Cannibal Ox way back then).

Yankee and the Brave! Man it isthe match up of the century, one of the best minds of our time and an all star producer joining forces to move us to kill our masters. I know they don't have a video for it yet but Walking in the Snow and Ju$t from this album are also smashers. I could safely say any of their music videos are great to bust out, Nobody Speak is just hard hitting comedy and their actual song Run The Jewels video feels like one of the best shout outs to the origin of their union being from Adult Swim....but Call Ticketron is my go to for a cranial massage.
LOVED THIS, thank you and your dad :)

Money is inherently meaningless and worthless. The value of money is not in having it, it is in the things you can do with it. The goods and services, To stockpile money is merely to store and squander potential. You are depriving yourself and the world. Further, a step even further, the goods and services are also meaningless and worthless. It is not about having the stuff. It is what you can do with the stuff, and whom you can share it with. PEOPLE are what is important. All the material wealth, all the goods and services. We amass these things to impress other people, to raise our self esteem in comparison to the state of affairs of other people. We do it to provide, to socialize, and to have the power to benefit others. Money is not the root of evil. It is the WANT of money that is the root of evil. That ruthless lust driven by our primal survival instincts. It is not the mark of a civilized human. It is a manifestation of our bestial nature.

@jchristopher9295

Ive heard the phrase the LOVE/WANT of money is the root of all evil but I really do think its just Money is the root of all evil....because if you think about it money has caused most of the problems we have in this world and even if you were an isolated tribe hidden from the rest of the world ,your life will be negatively affected by money...because some corporation will steal your land and culture just so the western culture can have cheaper oil or hamburgers. On another level....humans used to hunt and harvest food because mother nature was bountiful.but with the advent of money now we have no land to harvest and we have to get a job to pay for rent,mortgage,food,clothes,health,education,entertainment....all of which was free to us.we were born free but capitalism and governments have fucked us out of all of it. Money is the root of all evil.

I hadn’t thought of that interpretation of the money! But the way I saw it was that they were saying “fuck you” to this social agreement that we call “money” which has been the biggest oppressor of all the people in the street who now seemed to be celebrating their liberation. But thats the beauty of it, it means a million things.
Hey guys, just wanted to drop in to say that you producin nice content. Keep up the good work

They did the video in the financial district of Manhattan, NYC (Wall St. etc.). That’s the point of all the money and whatnot.

The essence of it is celebrating himanity in its full spectrum over money and power. El-p, Mike and Premo hiphop perfected.

The video was directed by Brian and Vanessa Beletic, and in a statement, RTJ said: “This video is a fantasy of waking up on a day that there is no monetary system, no dividing line, no false construct to tell our fellow man that they are less or more than anyone else.
The dad is on it...
Greg smooth🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
El-P was a legend in New York’s underground rap scene in the 90s. He’s got some amazing solo projects. Fantastic Damage is one of my favorite debut albums of all time in hip hop. El-P is the kind of white rapper that doesn’t give me secondhand embarassment as a white person: He’s not a corny, mediocre culture vulture copying people (especially black artists). Every emcee is influenced by somebody ofc, but El-P actually has original ideas in his head unlike all the white dudes that have been copying Eminem. I’m sure a lot of people might have hesitated to accept El-P as a rapper-since Vanilla Ice set such a bad precedent for white rappers-. Ultimately though, he earned peiple’s acceptance by being such a great rapper. El-P loves and respects hip hop as an art form, as well as the culture. He doesn’t rob from it, he’s a contributor to it. He’s more than just a top-tier white emcee like Em, Ill Bill, and R.A. The Rugged Man. In my opinion, El-P is one of the greatest rappers *of all time*. Is he in the top 10? No, but I’ll be damned if he and Killer Mike aren’t in my top 50 somewhere. El-P has also been actively supporting BLM lately too, so that’s cool.
Y'all should def review Don't Speak by DJ Shadow ft RTJ. The video is top notch.
Check out Cancer 4 cure, El P's album where Killer Mike guested, before the formation of RtJ.
Anyone else think the hook ("ooh la la en oui oui")is a reference to the French revolution? Lines like, "Fuck a king or queen and all of their loyal subjects" and the double meaning of bread, both food famine and money in the line 'Jump out of my bed like, "Where that bread"'. Class warfare, the bourgeoisie Vs the proletariat Dunno, let them eat cake.
Aye bro cj react to that king los freestyle it’s deep bro!!!!

@7:20 if you know Killer Mike, you know he's about keeping your community sustainable. you do not eat money, can you make your own food? can you harvest a crop? money is just part of the oppressive system put in place, as is racism. Do you feel equal in dignity and rights to a billionare? particularly a white one in america?
