They had the pancakes in the beginning because this song was release after Butter. It was also released at the end of the pandemic, when restrictions were finally getting lifted. So it was BTS’ way of lifting us up and basically saying that we got through this! Fun fact, the dance moves to the chorus were done to sign language. So what they were singing, they were saying through sign language. Which is why the ending showed them dancing with the staff and the crew, they wanted everyone to see how simple the dance really was.

Jimin's cowboy costume was used by Ryan Gosling in Barbie the movie and Ryan Gosling tweeted that Jimin wore it better!

Suga even complimented Jimin on how good he got playing guitar also way before the Barbie movie, during 2nd season In the Soop. the purple balloons actually means the end of the Covid pandemic.. you can see people taking their masks off during the MV and people are free to hug and interact with each other unlike during the pandemic..thus saying, we don't need permission to dance😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Their PTD at the United Nations is really good, plus this MV’s has behind the scenes and interviews, which is really great. At the end, all their team: BangPD, CEO, hair & makeup, bodyguards, dance teachers all danced with them

Permission to Dance (PTD) was BTS' third all English song, and 5th #1 Billboard song in 11 months. Their 6th #1 song "My Universe" (w/ColdPlay) was October 2022. BTW, PTD was written by Ed Sheeran. The PTD concerts started with a concert in Seoul in October 2021. There were four in LA at the Sofi Stadium Nov/Dec 2021, three Seoul concerts in March 2022, and four concerts at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in April 2022. Don't worry, with over 400 songs in the discography, you still have a long way to go.

Ryan Gosling sent Jimin the guitar he used in the Barbie movie because one of the costumes he wore in the movie was a replica of Jimins costume in PTD.

If you ever thought RM & Suga were only good rappers and mediocre singers, this proves that they ALL can do it all. I love hearing them rap but I also love their singing. 💜

Yes, they released this song to give hope and positive energy to the people around the world when covid restrictions were slowly lifted up. They performed this song in UN assembly too. The 1st concert after the covid was PTD on stage. Unfortunately they all got covid after this, but mild. Suga was the 1st one to diagnose with covid and Jungkook diagnosed only 6 days before their Grammy award performance. So they didn't get any proper preparation for that performance and they were all nervous before the performance but they nailed it, Please watch their grammy "Butter" performance. incredible !!

Started following BTS this year I am 62 years old and this is the first song I heard from them and it really has got me listening to music, and dancing like I used to and I am grateful for that. I hadn't been doing that because of a hearing problem but I do love their music. Because of this I'm listening to all my old fave songs from the 70's and 80s again. I'm learning all about them got so much to catch up on.

This is towards the end of pandemic. This song is very special to me. I attended their Permission to dance concert in Las Vegas Day 4. Came all the way from Canada. Happened to be their last concert tour before the enlistment. When we both, BTS and ARMY sang this song together, it was amazing.

A happy song full of hope for better days. In the midst of the pandemic, it's like they said "Everything will be fine soon". "We are forbidden from many things, but we don't need permission to dance!" The choreography is simple and captivating. They used sign language at the end of the choreography (in nana nana nanan) meaning HAPPY - DANCE - PEACE. BTS made a point of showing some professions and groups that were directly affected by the lock down in the MV. The ending dancing with the pride team shows a real characteristic of BTS: they are kind and humble towards everyone and recognize the value of their collaborators. Beautiful!!! 💜💜💜

Not Jimin making the bowl cut sexy! And a perfectly thrown jacket at the end LOL! Yes this was a big concert series 2021-2022. I started following BTS around the time of the PTD concerts in LA and I saw clips all over social media and thought they were from old concerts since I just didn't know. My first streamed concert was PTD LV and I saw PTD Seoul in the theater. Hope to see them in person someday! 💜

I saw the first PTD show in LA, their very first performance with an audience since the pandemic. (And I flew across the country to see it although I normally just see concerts locally.)I was so proud of ARMY because the vast majority of us masked the way we were asked to, because we tend to take care of each other. This was to celebrate the lifting of pandemic restrictions. 💜 They managed to showcase all the people most effected by the pandemic: office workers (actually a Welcome Back banner in the background), mail carriers, schools, restaurant staff and, subtly, the deaf and hard of hearing (masks made it harder for them to understand people who couldn’t sign). They even put sign language in their choreography. 🥰 Those guys worked so hard to bring us content even during a worldwide pandemic!! I don’t think they have rested since 2011. 😂
