Just a little information for this performance. J-Hope and Jungkook both came down with covid. Jungkook tested positive when he landed in Uniyed States. And J-Hope couldn't fly until he was negative. He showed up something like the day before. They had very, very little time to practice because they had to test negative twice before they were out of quarantine. It was touch and go on if they were gonna be able to perform. Luckily they both tested negative to be able to perform. And Jin had surgery on his hand that's why he wasnt able to do the choreography with them thrthe whole performance. Talk about a battle to be able to perform. SHEESH

And let me add one more piece, J-Hope arrived only the day before the awards show, so basically the guys only had like 12-14 hours for J-Hope to learn the new sequence and for them to practice together before performing! Thank goodness for J-Hope’s dancing skills! 💜

And let me add, also: J-Hope stressing about testing negative enough for Korea's higher Covid standards in order to fly from Seoul to LA (12 to 14 hour flight), and then private jet from LA to LV, jetlagged on the day before the performance and the day of, and still trying to recover from Covid, then what you said...

I love this performance so much & V tore up the stage! His powerful dance, voice, and charming smile!! I realized once again why he is a stage genius. I couldn’t take my eyes off him for a second.🔥💜❤

Rolling Stone said this was in the top 15 Grammy performances of all time. I’m thinking top 10 but I’m biased. 💜 A little back story: Halsey was there that night, but became quite ill as she was recovering a very recent surgery. She insisted on staying until the guys had finished performing despite the fact she could barely walk. She and the guys have a love,y relationship. She calls them “the uncle squad” and is the only other person to have one of their special sparkly mics, a gift from the group. The girl V is sitting is Olivia Rodrigo. Some BTS fans had a gripe with her because of fan wars. BTS caught knowledge of it and the war pretty stopped after this Grammy performance.

This is the performance where you can clearly see their professionalism and trust with one another... And even the Grammy staff were worried if BTS could pull this off.... Jin was still recovering from his injury. So he just sat there, and sang then danced at the end part ..This was also very innovative cause they made this whole scene where Jin can still join their performance even sitting down. Jhope- had covid while they were still in Korea and even during their practice he cannot join due to the quarantine. And he flew 2 days before the Grammys. He just made it in time. Jungkook- also had covid when he landed in the US. So he needs to be quarantined.. but fortunately he went ahead of the boys so when he finished his quarantine he still have 1 day of practice before the Grammys. So all in all.. Jhope and Jungkook joined the final rehearsal a day before the Grammys.(Stressful af 😭) And one of the few times they practice the Blazer perfectly as a group. And in the end they were named as the Top performer in the Grammys that year. Tho they didn't win (😤) they still show to the academy and the audience how it is done 🤩🔥

For this performance Jin's hand was in a cast and Jungkook and J-Hope were in covid quarantine up until performance time. Only 4 of them were able to rehearse! And yet *they didn't win!*💜💜💜

The Grammys were just the beginning of what became of a three week takeover of Las Vegas. I am from Vegas, and I still live there. When the guys got here, Las Vegas literally lit up purple. Every hotel marquee turned their lights purple. Some hotels designed some rooms for ARMY. Restaurants designed special menus, serving the guys' favorite meals. They had pop-up stores as well as exhibits showcasing they guys and their body of work. Some clubs had BTS nights. The Bellagio fountain added them to their shows for the time they were here. However, it became so popular that Bellagio added them permanently. They were here for 3 weeks, beside the concerts in California at SoFi. It was the first time since covid started that they guys were able to be in the states and have in person concerts. They had a total of 2 weekends and 4 concerts at Alligent Stadium. They sold out every concert within minutes. Even before they could go on sale to the general public. It sold out with the power of ARMY only. My daughter and I were lucky enuf to go to the first night. And even having a 45-minute delay at the beginning of the concert, due to a broken LED screen. It was still amazing. In their documentary, it shows the guys getting worried in the green room. Wondering if ARMY was going to stay while they fixed the screen. After the announcement was made, we started singing their songs and just waited for them. They sat there and listened to us the whole time. They were so happy. And gave an amazing performance. It will be something I won't soon forget. And if you ever are able to get tickets to one of their concerts... please don't hesitate, it is so worth the time and energy that you spend to get them. Again. That's a rumor. Jin did NOT get the hand injury while rehearsing. He injured his hand back in Korea and had the surgery in Korea. It's also important to know they learned the fun new concept choreography all together back in Korea before anyone got covid. So JK and JHope had covid, but practiced with videos while home sick. When they did the Vlive afterward, the boys wanted Jin to get up and do the choreography to prove he knew it. A Vlive is when the guys do a live broadcast and talk to Army together after a performance. Army texts them back. And they read the texts live. The boys do individual Vlives to stay in contact with Army. You can watch 5hem on KZread. JK is famous for doing them for hours. And performs personal mini concerts. Twice he has fallen asleep during a vlive. Army watched him sleep for hours. The coat trick was very hard to pull off. Working with props is hard anyway, but doing that Live is super hard. This is true because the guys said it at the vlive. They only successfully completed that complicated "trick" once. And that was during that live performance. They didn't win. But that is because the winners were Not a true group. Just a duo that taped one song. Not a group for the whole year like BTS. Until they create a separate category for real groups BTS might never win. Just so you know. We don't care. They are winners without any Grammy awards ever.

Yes they killed it. Standing ovation feom everyone. I think alot of people realect them. Jin felt so bad he got injured before performing. Had to change routine up. And JK was already in the US for something else but then tested positive for Covid. And JHope tested positive for for Covid back in Korea and their standard are strick. He had to have 2 neg tests. And then long flight. JHope is the one that tripped on the step he was so disappointed but i dont think he should be cause they nailed it and it was so minor you barely see it but considering he was basically still recoving from be sick and jet lag. And only able to pracrice and learn it like 12 hours before the performance i say that was amazing. Jk too. V always has striking visuals. 1. They kiss the hand is a symbol as JK's hand has the "ARMY" tattoo on it 2. The whole performance has a story to it. Do you notice that at the beginning the background is museum with a lot of pantings and JK enter from the top. It's them stealing the painting on the wall and change them into their pictures LOL. While they are singing, the painting keep missing one by one until the dance break that all the painting are gone the after that, some scribbles appear and eventhough I cannot read Korean but I saw some words from BTS' song "Fire". then their pictures start to appear one by one on the wall. 💜

The behind the scenes for this performance is so interesting. They only got that coat move right like once before. Both j hope and jk had Covid right before and Jin was hurt. So they had very limited chances to rehearse as a group.

Halsey is their best friend in the Western music industry. She is like the unofficial 7th member of BTS and they gifted her a sparkly mic to prove it. She is the only one to join them in choreography during performance, and she is not even a dancer. Yes, she calls them The Uncle Squad to her son. She is particularly close to Suga/Yoongi. They have collaborated on music multiple times, and he has spent Christmas at her house in L.A. He says she feels like a childhood friend even though they met as adults, meaning very close. I think it's highly notable, and hilarious, that BTS, the group that came up outside the industry, the group that continues to defy and run afoul of the corporate music industry, the group that, previous to this performance, was used, obviously and repeatedly, by the Grammys as ratings bait while being dramatically snubbed for awards they were by far the best nominee for..... That BTS staged a heist style break in of the Grammys/Western music industry with this performance. It's a classic BTS ~insult their haters to their faces while they thank them for it~ move. And it earned them a standing ovation, the only one of the night, and an instant classic performance that is one of the best Grammy performances ever. Choke on that Grammys!

During COVID, BTS and Big Hit built stages for their performances to be transmitted during the late night shows, including a copy of one of the late night studio sets.
