And thank you for calling this a queen-less middle game and not an endgame. So many get that wrong

Dont blame the arbiter, making constant annoying sound is a hinderance to all the other players.

I saw interview with his father. He seems crazy, it was not only about shoes, but he wanted to watch the game close to the players, and called the police to help him 😂😂😂😂

How dare the arbiter challenge the authenticity of Gucci Shoes , maybe I'd understand if it was a 7 Eleven or Dollar Store shoes , but it is Gucci Shoes for Crying Out Loud !!!

It's not the fault of the arbiter. It's you facing a stronger player who is 2800+ Elo. Don't forget that.

I was there, watching in round B. Complaining about shoe-clicking is not chess.

Alireza should not have let it bother him so much. He is human and over reacted. His reaction is what hurt him much more than the complaint. Have a stoic philosophy!

It’s unbelievable that Caruana did not take the bishop on e6. For a player at his level, missing an advantage like that is puzzling.

Agree . I know club players who would find that … in blitz no less

Are you allowed to crack your knuckles while playing . That’s what street toughs used to do to intimidate others . That would add some spice to the games .

Chess is a game of tactics and Alireza Firouzja is too predictable to be a good chess players. Even before that game with Ian Nepomiacthi, he is out of the tournament after 3 games in arow

It’s not childish. Only one player complained about this. And the arbiter’s intervention disrupted Alireza as well. His shoes were approved for the event by FIDE. Also this is not the first time Alireza is the target of arbiters in important tournaments, so it’s understandable that he at the moment isn’t having a lot of fun playing. Also please don’t forget he is 20 so yes, technically still developing psychologically.
