I don't know about others but in India many parents dig out the whole information about their would be son in law or daughter in law before marriage so that their daughter/ son wouldn't suffer in future

Hi. I agree totally. If she had done as her father wanted, she would no doubt have been in for a lifetime of pure misery.

I would NOT want to be involved in any kind of arranged marriage. I admire this girl for having the courage to stand up to her father and insist that she be allowed to pick her own husband.

@@gordjohn2322 there are many cultures around world where arranged marriage is the norm (by this I don't necessarily mean forced marriage) But both "Love" marriage and "arranged" marriage can result to a healthy married life or a disaster.

You didnt see me laughing out aloud when the would be father inlaw said '' lets do the wedding right away, this weekend!'' and i was alone in the house...

I hate arranged marriages because its not right. People should let others choose whoever to fall in love with. Its like forcing other's to do whatever the parents want. It's not up to the parents who get's their offspring to marry its up to the offspring when they are an adult. For crap sake's it takes time to get to know that person.

After i got over my previous relationship. I started watching this videos.These are addictive. But i don't see a point in them now, all i have is an empty heart. Arranged marriage and forced marriage are one and the same thing. Do all you can to stop your parents doing this to you. If need be get a restraining order against them. Recently the UK government has made some very positive steps to end forced marriage but there is more work to be done.

For me, I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate, and we had an amazing 20yrs together. He's recently passed from cancer and I miss him and will never be with anyone else. 😢.
