​@@alexisfernendez2662no, in infants the other gender is much more reassuring to them by birth for some reason. Even my mother and aunty born in 80s were extremely lovable by my grandfather.

My father was in Army. I used to cry every time he left. I'm 19 now, he's finally home but I've left for college. The fact that I had very few moments like that in my life makes me tear up. She's lucky! Rejoice in it all.

Whenever my son come home from work by way of the laundry room which is off the open kitchen/dining room , her excitement can't be contained , my grandaughter's arms already are raised up for Papa to lift her onto his embrace. I get teary eyed to witness that. Fathers of these younger generation are more in touch with their feelings . Fathers of old are distant , beats children as a form of "discipline " , unaffectionate because that makes kids "spoiled".
