Jazz man, I wondered about that… How they could keep from poking each other in the eye with their horns or accidentally goring one of their wonderful, loving owners. I am so thankful to learn that they are very careful with their horns around other animals and people, and I was surprised to learn that they actually have nerves and a sense of touch throughout their entire horn instead of just at the base. Wow! Such fascinating creatures!

I live in a small house but I would love to support a lovely highland cow 😁

I got a rescue in november that needed to learn some manners. I love watching the lucky dog show on saturdays but the book kzread.infoUgkxKkYeOoCV_w2vPX0CSyVWkhew2c4FYk0d is my go to when i need ideas for training this wild man that i have! He's still a puppy at 1yo so i'll be patient.

The thing with extreme cult like forms of "leadership", dehumanizing their enemies is always needed to get compliance up. "Parasites" are easier to harm than "Humans with loved ones". This also happens with soldiers in wars or gang members. It creates a psychological wall around what you're doing. Of course I'm not defending anything. It's just not a very good thing to judge a human by his treatment of (perceived) enemies.

Each story like that, where human being are actually humane, gives me hope that this world can be a better place for animals. Thanks for your caring and compassion

@@SilencedButNotForgotten I've got no idea if this farm is going to slaughter their animals (the phrase 'sanctuary-style farm' implies perhaps not) but animals raised for meat live a tiny fraction of their potential lifespan. It's also worth remembering for anyone else reading this that this is _not_ how the vast majority of cattle are treated, even on organic or free range farms. Agriculture is a business, and cattle are just machinery that moo.

I was driving around Scotland looking for somewhere to stay. This guy appeared in a 4x4 and said follow me. Log cabin, very cheap, beside the mouth of Loch Ness. Woke up in the morning and walked out to a bunch of these Highland Cows just milling around! They are magnificent beasties.

Workers in meat packing facilities often endure terrible, dangerous working conditions. 8-Animal ag is a major cause of the loss of habitat and biodiversity 9-Needless killing of innocent, sentient beings cannot be ethically justified. 10- It is the single most effective way for each of us to fight climate change and environmental degradation. 11- Longer lifespan. 12- Healthier weight (vegans were the only dietary group in the Adventist Studies that had an average BMI in the recommended range.) 13- A healthy plant based diet significantly reduces the chances of ED later in life, and even 1 meal can improve bedroom performance 14- Vegetarians and vegans have lower rates of dementia later in life 15- A plant based diet could save money! I live in a very small town in Ohio, there is a farm next to our school that has a huge herd of highland cattle, they are kinda the mascots of our town, everyone loves them. Sometimes i'll metal detect the farm and the cows will follow me the entire time just looking for pets. They are super sweet animals, not just cows, they're special and i'm glad to see them being treated like family.

Yep, cows are people too! So nice to see them get humane treatment and love.

I recently made friends with some cows. A few early evenings a week I walk down this country road on the edge of town where there are four cows in a fenced yard. When they see me approaching they come running to the fence. Two of them like to lick my hand as I pet their heads and talk to them. Then one rests her forehead against the fence signaling me to do her ears. It is so cute how she does this. They are truly sweet animals. More tempeh, please!

We had a hand raised cow along with a heard when I was young. She would come see us at the fence every day when she got older. She loved birthday cake and ice cream for her birthdays and even remembered all of ours. She always got cake and ice cream on our birthdays. And anytime there was left overs

One of my great memories of visiting John O'Groats in Scotland was stopping at a pasture to take some pics of a Highland Coo as they called them. It came up to the fence and was just being very photogenic. The owner happened along and said she was very friendly, and if I had any biscuits she loved them. So, being mindful of the horns (just from turning quickly) I fed a box of Walker shortbread biscuits to her, surprisingly soft, and really very friendly. Great day.

I got to meet one. She was being kept at some showgrounds near my home, because there was a fire in the hills. The owner was walking her around with a rope on her neck, like leash on a dog. They were walking slowly and gently. I asked if I could pet her, the owner said sure. Mary was a pet cow, and she loved people. Mary was so sweet and friendly. She even gave me a little kiss. I pet her on the face and side. She seemed very content. She was just like the cows in this video. I was happy to know she had loving home.

Absolute joy, Thank you, I live in bonnie Scotland and one snowey icy day a Highland cow came over to the fence and put its nose onto me I took off a glove its nose was so cold so I took off my other glove and put both hands on its nose and there we stood as its nose warmed. It was so very precious and I felt so privileged yes it only ended when my friends walked back to find me and I had to go. I thanked the coo and indeed I did pat him/her and kissed his/her nose. Friends were astonished in stunned silence. "Heelin Coos" (Highland cows") as we call them in Scotland are amazing and full of character and personality. To see them interacting with you was sheer total joy. Have a wonder filled christmastide each and all of you, human furry hairy and woolly.💟⭐🤶🎅❄️🤍💚❤️🎁🎄💕💞💖💝🏔️🌨️⛄☃️🐅🐄🐂🐃🐏🐑🐐🦌🐴

There's a huge rainbow in the sky in your video. 🌈 ♥️ I think horns are their antennae. Thank God you realize the true nature of animals. Cows rock. 🥰
