Short story how we used and what we did with our Duster.
Driving in mud, snow, long and short trips and travels, on main roads and off road trails. No problems with the car, never stopped, never failed.
Car is Dacia Duster 4x4 1.3 TCe 150HP with Kleber Krisalt hp3 R17/60/215 tyres.
Duster does not look bad, costs little, is spacious, has the necessary equipment, but how does it behave on the road? In my opinion, good, although it can be described by the slogan "comfort at a reasonable price". So we are talking about compromises. Well, the shock absorbers and springs in the test Duster 4x4 are set to give as much comfort as possible. As a result, the car eagerly swallows bumps so that on most roads we will not feel any small holes at all. We can also climb most speed bumps without fear, even with unreasonable speed, which of course I do not recommend.
Where is this compromise? Instead, the Duster drives not very confidently, even though the 4x4 version has a multi-link suspension at the rear, and not a torsion beam like the front-wheel drive variant. So let's not risk too much in the corners, because such experiments may not end well. And the 4x4 drive? It's a Nissan engineer's brainchild - it can work in forward torque mode with automatic rear wheel engagement, or - at low speeds - by continuously transferring power to both axles. Of course, there is no reducer, but we have another clever solution: first gear with a very low ratio. On a daily basis, it is used only for starting, but it is useful in the field when the car is crawling and not driving.

Como me gusta este coche que bien se viaja y como se comporta fuera de carretera, sencillo, economico y simple es lo que buscaba y no tanta tecnología que los coches parecen árboles de Navidad con tanta lucecita que al final te hacen tooorrrpee.

Ja swojego Dustera mam od miesiaca 1.0TCe z LPG 100KM i jestem zakochany. Brzmi wysmienicie wyglada wspaniale niczego wiecej mi nie trzeba.

Mam to samo (też 1.3 TCE 150KM, 4x4) i tak samo 🙂 Coraz bardziej wciąga w teren.

:))))) That's because the car weighs much less than proper cars which get 5 star crash ratings due to thicker metal! Not a good thing!

Hi I'm from Brazil. I intend to buy a DUSTER, but here we only have Renault 4x2 models with a 1.3 turbo flex engine with 170 hp and 27.5 kgfm (Mercedes). Can you tell me if 4x2 can be good for LIGHT Off Road? Thanks.

Great! A fabulous car 4x4, good test and Dscia Duster 4x4 is a great for off road, good price for this! Suzuki Vitara and Suzuki Scross is a mid wagon only for city and only for two grains of rice under the wheels. But for italian market Dacia Duster 150 hp it is not salable? Thank u and a big test drive. I'm italian. I subscribe this channel and, like for u. Sorry for my english.
Are these all terrain tires? or the standard Dacia tires? Did you reduce tire pressure before going off road?

This car in Europe is named Dacia. Generally it is same car meybe with different options like auto transmission or engines.

@@panchenkodp It's a Renault modern high pressure engine. Changing oil is extra important. The Turbo should last 150k

Nie do końca są to tylko dodatki. Wbrew pozorom progi czy orurowanie przydają się podczas bliskich spotkań z większymi krzakami czy małymi drzewkami, stanowiąc bufor między nimi a lakierem auta.

@@krzysztofrz82 Oczywiście. U nas już zresztą cały przód (plastiki) trzyma się na trytytkach, a orurowanie już raz odpadło (fabryczne śrubki były... plastikowe! po prostu się rozpadły). Ale najważniejsze, że ten cały odpust spełnia swoje zadanie: chroni auto przed pomniejszymi kolizjami z drzewkami, krzaczkami itp
