A theory for the blue flame: In the episode where bakugo and shoto were helping kids seiji shishikura (I think) said that as time goes on quirks can develop through generations meaning dabi could have a more advanced fire quirk as endeavour's quirk could have developed and the reason the other children don't have it is because they have more of their mom's gene

to help with this theory: in the manga, it pointed out that toya has a stronger fire quirk than endeavor ( I don't think I spelled that right but whatever) and blue fire is hotter than red/ orange fire. Ok, my theory: So endeavor had another child, dabi, but with another woman, one with black hair and maybe blue eyes. But when he's born, endeavor leaves, which would explain him hating endeavor. And the reason for him not telling/hating Shoto or anyone else in the todoroki family is because he doesn't want them to feel the same way he did when he left. Idk if this is a good theory, but my best friend's older brother came up and I came up with it and I liked it.

Lovely Serpent I think dabi is endeavor child since quirks get passes between generations and it get stronger dabi quirk is from his dad he got the blue flames he was too strong for his small body he accidentally burned himself while his dad training him it’s just a theory maybe he’s dad kept training him and he keeps burning himself then he controlled his power he’s dad knew he was too strong maybe he said that he died but he didn’t he’s dad said he was stronger than him I don’t think that what he wanted since he married shoto mom for her quirk he want a perfect mix between two that’s when shoto was born and he was perfect maybe he ran away bc of jealousy since he trained and burned his body for his dad to notice how strong he is

I'm pretty sure in the Manga his family thought he was dead but is actually alive and his hair went from red like his father's to white like his mother's after dabi left he dyed his hair black.

It’s been confirmed that dabis quirk isn’t compatible with his body. Also it’s been confirmed that touya committed suicide by using his fire quirk, they couldn’t find his body. But I believe if this theory is true he used that as a distraction to escape.

Also, dabi might have been unable to control his flames which is why he has scars on his face.

Shoto's first costume completely covered his fire side in ice. It was part of his defying Endeavor by using only ice. After the Sports Festival, he decided he to stop doing that, and thus ditched the original costume.

My analysis. It doesn't *say* that's why he changed his costume, but since the costume change coincides with him starting to use his fire in battle, that's the obvious conclusion. It's just that we're never shown any scenes of Todoroki going to the support department to make costume alterations like we have with Deku and a few of the other characters.

If anybody ever payed attention to it: Dabi‘s scars are pretty symmetrical. As, I think, everybody knows, scars are never symmetrical, if made by accident/nature. (As Shoto‘s for instances.) So I think his scars were made by himself, because the scare on his eyes, armes, collar bones to mouth-ears are all almost 100% symmetrical. I don‘t know why he made them, but I believe that he made them himself. (Maybe out of crazyness?) And nobody goes to age difference, as I saw. While Shoto is 15, Dabi is in his early 20s. (Exact age unknown.) So Dabi is about 5-8 years older than him. If we take the shot from the anime back, where we see Shoto, who is about 4-6 and the unknown, red-haired child, who is about 7-12 it could actually be, that this is Dabi as Shoto‘s older Brother. Also did anybody ever notice that everybody out of Endeavors Family (except Endeavor himself) is hot af, and Dabi is too?

The mother's ice can also have a part to the blue flame Dabi creates. Methanol can be found in ice caverns and when reacted to a spark will explode either yellow or blue depending on tempature or how much methonal is used. So he could possibly be using methanol to be making his flames.

I also have a thought but im not sure it makes that much sense, when fire burns blue its because theres more oxygen in the flame, well ice holds oxygen right? Maybe the reason why Dabi's flames are blue is because of an abundance of oxygen he has from possibly using some sort of hidden ice quirk, just like how ice caverns can hold methanol, maybe he's using the oxygen from a hidden ice quirk to make his flames blue but they burn so hot the ice is already melted by the time it reaches the air?? I dunno this is just a mixed up thought though and I could be very wrong-

Same, Dabi has a specific fixation in Shoto and Endeavor, with the latter seems a grudge. Recall that Dabi became united to the league of villains because he shares the ideals of the Heroes killer. In the eyes of the hero killer, All Might is the ideal hero for the community, Shoto and Deku also seem good candidates for heroes but Endeavor does not meet at all with what it takes to be a hero, in the anime / manga enter in thirst for blood when he sees it. In the manga the past of Himiko, Twice and Shigaraki have already been revealed, all except Dabi. Isn't it too much coincidence?

it’s almost like he knows shoto was abused as a child and can see how he is still essentially doing his father’s bidding by becoming a hero. dabi pities him because he himself managed to escape from endeavour’s abusive household, whereas shoto is becoming a great hero as his father wanted, and suffered abuse throughout the years.

Agree it is weird. Like he’s saying I know you or something. In an Endeavor centered chapter in the manga, Shoto flashes back to this exact scene which makes it esp standout now.

@@frfr12921 It may be, but it doesn't make much sense for him to notice Shoto when Deku is closer to becoming a hero like All Might and that Stain admires. If Dabi followed Stain's ideology to the letter, he would focus on Deku, not Shoto, as Himiko did. Dabi shares the same ideals as Stain, I think he must have a more hidden reason to agree with that ideology, Dabi is the only villain who has not yet revealed his past (they have already revealed the passage of Himiko, Shiragaki, Twice, etc. ,) and makes it even more suspicious.
