They design them that way (not totally flat sanding) to sand faster and eliminate dust while keeping the paper cleaner. They say it's "always changing plane". Cool idea really. Great video and awesome information Greg. Thanks for sharing - enjoy the rest of the weekend 👍✌

I can see how it would sand faster but when it’s locked into grind mode it really gums up the paper on one side. Thanks for the info Jerry. Waiting to see what you have planned for the AMC. Have a great week

I use electric DA sanders by Mirka and they have 3 different models of this sander and each one has a different sized circular size ,I use the middle one 5.0

those old I/R sanders will last a long time, in my younger days (1987) I worked in the paintshop of a cabinet factory and used it ever since, last time I used it, maybe 6 years ago, it still worked fine

I didnt even pay for it is the great thing, I helped the plant manager and the maint mgr get a boat ready for paintand they gave me everything we used to do the job, it was well used when I got it @@autobodytrainingsolutions838

Can you make a test on the SEM primer with hand sanding block and 220 grit ? I think it's made for backyard mechanics that doesn't have equipment.
