D5 is very cost effective, the subscription is a lot less than Lumion and the assets are amazing.

In my life i did a good decision i bought d5 render life time license . before they starting yearly subscription 😍😍

Yes ur really lucky, thats why I wont use D5render because its subscripiton now and I wasnt lucky like you, I dont like subscriptions. I thought D5 was different but after fame D5 also get influenced by other softwares to be like them. Its really weird when softwares doesnt allow the person to choose subscription vs lifetime, they can put limit for upgrading if they really wanna earn money, at least they should let person to keep the old version of software they buy instead of forcing subscription. May I ask something? ur lifetime license has unlimited upgrades forever? or if u wanna upgrade to new version, will u need to pay upgrade price?

The D5pro version also need you to be constantly on the net, even durind rendering, otherwise pro assets will show d5 watermark logos in the final images/ video. Most of the assets are online. There shold be a possibility to allow user to pack full software and assets for a period of time. Some users move between different places, sometimes jobs are located where internet is not fully reliable.

As long time Lumion User, D5 will blow it out of the water. Considering how new it is and the cost and what it offers is going to take over. Especially AI stuff they incorporate.

i start with Vray , then Lumion and now D5 , no doubt D5 can handle almost every scenario and i am happy that it is Free with good UI design

D5 is light-years ahead!

Iv been on D5 since its Beta beginings where everything was in chinese only. I just finished my university and i was looking for cheap/free soft for my renders. And D5 poped up. It was horrible at 1st, but as my master teacher always told. It was pregnant, and its worth investing time into it, to see what it will look like when it gets birth

I think it would have been useful to include twinmotion in this comparison

D5 architecture requires a very high sophisticated laptop. So many lappies that can run Lumion, can't run D5 render. I think is a big setback for them. As people might not be able to high specs lappy.

D5 Render supports any GPU from GTX 1060 or better. In 2024 a low level or entry level GPU is considered the RTX 3050 and is fully supported by D5.

still i see lumion is capable to display a more real render and exterior nature effect.

You should be able to drag it to the side so you can see the window button and enter full screen mode

D5 seems like the best choice unless your boss is death set on using a software.

Its a shame this video is biased towards D5 without being up front about the fact they the author is employed by them it would seem

Unfortunately Twinmotion is very slow (more than 10 time) to render with path tracing turn on...

@@kimchevalley5019 But D5 is not a full pathtracer so its wrong to compare d5 with twinmotions path tracer. d5 realtime rayracing speed and twinmotion real time render is almost same speed while twinmotions path tracer and realtime is faster than lumions full raytracer and realtime. Lumion cant even let u do realtime navigation with rasterized system like a game engine should do. and its full raytracing is slower than most softwares raytracer. I liked lumion before before it add raytracing but now they become worse with new logo and bad implementation of raytracer, I thought they were going to add effects like raytracing on rasterized viewport such as ''raytraced reflections'' or ''raytraced GI'' or raytraced shadows'' similar to shadow effect or reflection effect which were screenspace or approximated rasterization methods. But what lumion did is to add full raytracing effect that is not a hybrid apprach of mixing rasterizing and raytracing like D5 do, so it was meaningless to add that.

I like D5, but Lumion is better for now. I see lots of comments about price. Remove the pricing issue and Lumion is way better... for now. D5 is catching up fast. When it does, Ill go full D5. For now, Lumion is better.

I bought the D5 16 version. I trusted it, invested it and enjoy every new free pro version. I don't use any other rendering program except I bought the latest version of Sketchup 2020 which will last me for the next 10 years. I work with 2 free programs. I will also add that Sketchup has not changed for over 10 years, it is the same and I forgot they added subscriptions😂 How much does Lumion cost?😂😂😂
