This is the first time I play D1GP on PS2.
The only similar experience I got was FR Legends.
So, I turn on Assist to learn this game.
If you are pro and can't stand my driving, exit button is on upper right.

    This is the first series of D1 GP. The international one was second series in Japanese version

    ​@@theraiden9631 Never knew about that. Should've kept the crazy commentators at the corner. The international one sound too cheesy.
