Comments Zuretti, “‘Deserving of the Grave’ was a track that started with music I came up with in my head whilst flying home from somewhere. I got home and immediately jotted down the idea and sent it to Eyal, which he turned into an entire song. The funny thing is, Eyal gets my music brain so much that he pulled all of the Danny Elfman/Gothic-era influence out of a singular idea and made an entire epic come to life. And what's even crazier is that Danny Elfman literally wrote the theme for Tim Burton's Batman in 1989 the exact same way: on a plane. This track is everything Eyal and I love about dark and moody classical/cinematic music fused together with DÅÅTH’s sound. The golden seal of the track is our friend Jeff Loomis ripping one of my favorite solos I've heard in more than a decade."
Adds Levi, “‘Deserving Of The Grave’ comes from a really dark place. The day it was conceived, Jesse was flying somewhere and got a strain of divine inspiration, wrote the initial idea on an airplane, and sent it to me. Simultaneously I was flying back home from witnessing the death of a loved one, and received this great idea in my email, while in a really bad mental state. Upon returning, I got to work immediately and what you’re hearing is what flowed out of that terrible place. I think it’s the darkest song on the album, and the vibe on it is real.
“Besides that, this song has a special place in my heart because our old buddy Jeff Loomis graced us with one of the best guitar solos I’ve heard in my entire life. And it was a long time coming. Fun fact, but Jeff and DÅÅTH almost worked together back before the hiatus. It came so close to happening and it was one of my biggest musical disappointments. All I can say is that it was worth the wait. His solo in this song is the stuff of legends."
"I had a great time recording the solo for Deserving of The Grave for the new Daath album The Deceivers! Eyal came up with a very dark background that made things easy for me when it came to putting the paint on canvas for a fitting solo. Thanks again for letting me be a part of such a musical masterpiece." - Jeff Loomis

Amazing band thanks for the album
Thanks to everyone for listening to our jam with our buddy Jeff Loomis!
Great track from a great album. It also serves as a reminder that we need way more new music from Jeff Loomis - especially with the Arch Enemy shackles gone.
Anything with Jeff Loomis on it gets me hype 🤘

He's dope but definitely not the selling point. Dååth are sick all on their own! 🤘🏾
Legendary solo! perfect note choice! Who else agrees?
As much as I love Arch Enemy, Jeff Loomis was far too good to be held back artistically and not allowed to help write songs. I am so glad he has freedom to just do his own thing now and this was an awesome song with a perfect solo to close it. Thank you.
This is the best father's day present one can receive 🤘🦇🤘
Always love daath style
Instant Classic.
❤1 Of The Best Comeback Album Of All Time ,No Matter The Genre.
Daath reminds us that groove is always king.
This is one of my favorite tracks on the album! The solos at the end are sick! 🤘🤘
Another banger. This is my album of the year for me. As much great stuff that has been coming out in the 2020s, this record really stands out to me. Love it... The old stuff also holds up very well...
Probably my favorite song on the album. I love the tempo change/transition around the 1:55 mark. So good!
Oh my god, last time i remember seeing Daath back in 2007 for the Ozzfest tour, they were my inspiration for playing guitar, I haven't seen much out of them and though they fell to the wayside, let me tell you something awoke in me when I saw daath had dropped a new track, holy crap I'm so glad these guys came back!

Be skeptical, question everything. If there's the slightest doubt, pursue it. Chase the rabbit down the hole.

Drummer is on fire and the guitarist towards the end absolutely nails it. Well done
The whole song is sick but that solo reminded me of the first time I listened to Jeff Loomis
Perfect!
We all deserve the grave and we all deserve to invest in what divine reasoning has to offer.
Love this album!! Takes me back to the Hinderers!

🫵🤘🖤🦇💀🦇🖤🤘🫵
Nothing beats "The Hinderers." This album is comes close but I miss the symphonic and industrial elements of "The Hinderers." This album is my second favorite. On another note Jeff Loomis please start a new band and not fucking play shity Arch Enemy music. You are superior to Michael Amott minus Heartwork and Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious.
