One of my favourite Chinese dramas. I have watched it for the 3rd time yet still can’t stop thinking about the sad ending. The cast especially the leading actor and actress did extremly well for their roles I dont think they should ever do a re-make because no one could outplay these 2. They are really the best option

My heart breaks so much for this drama more than any other drama I’ve ever watched. This is definitely the best drama that pulls at your heart and you feel so terribly sad for both main actors. The male actor Chen Xing Xu actually fainted from the sadness and emotions he felt when he yelled out in pain when it was at the tragic ending. No one can beat these two for years to come when it comes to tragic shows.

Probably one of the best and saddest dramas I've watched, but I appreciate the uniqueness of the plot. The actors and actresses all did a beautiful job at portraying their respective characters, especially 彭小苒 who played 小枫！she's so gorgeous and her acting really brought me to tears- it felt as though 小枫 was being played to live. The soundtrack is so sad but I also love it for that reason, it brings back various memories of 小枫 and 李承鄞, especially初见 and 小狐狸。Thank you, goodbye my princess, for the laughter and tears! (thank you for uploading this soundtrack, we appreciate it!)

I've watched a lot of dramas and cried or get angry alongside the characters, but this was the most heart breaking and most memorable drama ever. I cried every time the actress cried I felt her pain. I even saw the behind the scenes and it still made me cry when she cried. Most actors and actress would just cry beautifully or quietly, but Peng Ziaoran truly cried out in pain. Her grandpa got beheaded by her just married husband, her parents dead, her country held hostage, people she trusted betraying her and also keeping her hostage, then witnessing more of her people dying. Who can quietly live life after that? This movie even made me feel that she had to end her life to truly be free.

When I watched the drama, though I found the cinematography beautiful, the acting superb, and the music just perfect, I also thought, "I never want to see this again; everything about this is just all levels of f***ed up from start to finish." Reading your comment summed everything up so well and made me enjoy this gorgeous soundtrack again. And maybe hate Li Chengyin a little less. Haha

Every time I finish a Chinese Drama I get so emotionally attached with all the lovable characters and each uniquely mastered plot that I feel I will never find any better one to help me move on. "Goodbye My Princess" is unquestionably one of the best I've watched so far and will be pretty hard to be toppled over. Such a devastatingly moving story interwoven by intoxicating melodies that it's impossible to leave your heart and memory unscathed..! 💔

Goodbye, My Princess - From the beginning, you can sense it would be a tragic ending the moment they met one another. I found myself watching the drama to see if the plot and the characters' actions would make sense, and I completely empathize with the two main leads. Thank you so much for putting this OST together for us! For the first time, I would say that this is truly a NO SKIP OST for me! Listening straight through and feeling all the emotions again. Each track is beautiful and matches LCY and XF's tragic love story.

I think if only someone told LCY that he is Gu xiaowu, his jealousy towards gu jian wouldn't be that too much and he could've redeemed himself slowly to xiaofeng. I wished pei zhao or gu jian told him what happened in the past, then it wouldn't be so tragic. It's so sad that he remembered everything too late. 💔

No he will still be jealous and kill gujian eventually. Because he knows gujian loves xiaofeng and will take xiaofeng away from him. And xiaofeng is going to leave him and go back to xizhou. And that’s the main reason why he becomes so bad at the end.

I read the book first and then went on to watch all episodes, OMG! Absolutely reduced me to tears! I was crying in my way to work in public! Feel so sad after watching the movie in about a whole week, even crying in my office. I have to say this is the best movie i’ve watched in the last few years. They were all little foxes waiting 😭 Xiaofeng waiting for Gu Jian on the sand dune. Xiaofeng waiting for Gu Xiaowu (Chengyin), her newly wed husband, to return victorious from battle. Xiaofeng waiting for Chengyin to love her properly when they became crowned prince and princess. Gu Jian waiting for Xiaofeng to take her back to Xi state. Gu Jian always reaching his hand out to Xiaofeng waiting for her to take his hand so they can be together. Chengyin growing old waiting for Xiaofeng to come back to him after she has past away.

Maybe that's why she choose to sacrifice herself, after all those tragedies if I'm Xiaofeng I dont know how to continue my life after witnessing my loved ones die one by one, at the end she choose to leave li chengyin no matter how much she loves him.

@@ninaco3198 i think 1 reason for her to leave was she became jealous of Zese and eventually she wished she was the only wife he had. everyrime they are together in their moments shes happy but everytime she saw LCY and Zese together she feels sad. like in the episode they were together in the festival she wearing her red dress. thats 1 reason she called him a liar

still the best winxua drama. Feel so attached to the character. And the OSTs make it more memorablr

One of the best cdrama I have watched in Year 2019. Excellent acting by Chen Xing Xu and Peng Xiao Ran which brought up the whole story. Even though it has sad ending which I think it is very reasonable instead of happy ending which will be not logic.

One of the saddest dramas out there. Perfect acting for the ML and FL. I was brought to tears during numerous scenes. I was on a roller coaster of emotions. I hated the ML for his cruelty to the princess and felt that she was way too good for him. This was an ill-fated love. His character was completely flawed. The soundtrack is beautiful and brings memories of this beautiful drama.

Damn!! I lose my sleep in order to finish this drama. So sad and heartbreaking but beautifully delivered by them😖🥺😭

It's so new but this story can be a legend! Great performances and such beautiful tragic story.

2020年才看這部劇,真的很後悔當初沒有及時追。非常喜歡男女主角跟顧劍,演技專業讓我整個陷下去!看完後心情沉重了好幾天,但又忍不住去想~完全沒心情準備面試的資料...

我也很喜欢，

I love this drama, even though, it wasn't my normal dramas I'd watch. I am a hopeless romantic, but this one was real tragic and all actors did a great job. Can there be a part two? Lol.

She gave the forgiven to Chenyin Li, but never did to herself.

Until today December 2019, I still can't make myself watching this drama till the last episode (spoiler from the preview episodes). The ending too sad and hurting. I'm still not ready for it until today.

Remember the princess for her lively and bubbly personality. I don’t let the sad parts ruin her. I just want to hold her forever in my arms and won’t even let a mosquito bite her.

2:14 Love Hurts rly makes me cry. When I heard the intro from the very beginning, the flashback of their story plays in my head and my heart hurting. I love the song tho like I rly do and I do love the drama so much. This is one of my fav songs. Male and female version, hits me in the heart. ❤

Beautiful music, so touching

Not a fan of Chinese dramas, prefer Korean and Japanese. This is the first one to really hook my mind and heart. Perfect in every way..the acting, the characters, the plot, the props, costume, scenery, the writing and the haunting OST. I actually started reading up the original light novel Eastern Palace and was pleasantly surprised how well adapted it was. Kudos esp to CXX for his portrayal of LCY.

For me ever since I watched cdramas, kdramas has been rly boring ever since. I can near rly finish any without getting bored. This drama is one of my fav and when I watch I cry every time but I love it

Every ost make me in tears. Sad songs, sad sound, sad ending. And yes they have the modern world sequel that can make me less sad. I really can't move on on this drama. Everytime i tried, always remember the scene of Xioafengs death. Scene where Li Chengyi cant accept Xiaofeng death. This drama really kill me deeply. I regret watching this

Wow ost you have it.... But even the music unsung also sounded so emotionally arousing 😭
