I gotta say, I'm a little disappointed in the background for the last spell card. I thought it was more impressive in the PC-98, where it showed the catastrophic damage to the surroundings the fight against her caused.

Here, it's just a flat plane. Meaning there is literally nothing left of Gensokyo. So it's more fitting with my Timeline Purge and Reconstruction headcanon...

Exactly. Shinki was hurling so much at you that it was razing the surrounding area and setting Pandæmonium ablaze, hence why the background, in the original, steadily got redder and redder, until it shows the entire surrounding area on fire at her last attack.

Somebody needs to make this. 2019 and it still looks amazing.

Eevster 72 Len'en only copies Touhou in its style, and that's the only thing these ones have in common. Len'en has a completely different story (which, in fact, is sometimes even more interesting and logical than what of touhou) and characters, so I have to disagree with your notion.

i don't even know anymore I meant gameplay wise, clone just means it has a slimier game play style, but len'en 4's going to change that.

It's actually called "Devil's recitation" and the name refers to the fact that Shinki invented it, and Shinki could be considered a devil. Byakuren was locked up in Makai for over a thousand years. During that time she saw Shinki use that attack, and now she recites Shinki by using her attack.

I think Devil's Recitation is the name of only Byakuren's card, because it's literally recounting what the "devil god" did.

And Yumeko's appearance was a really cool remind of the classic era of touhou where Sakuya/Youmu tries to stop you at all cost. Shinki is an awesome boss ! I really love the fight in Mystic Square, so this is really godly for me ! Shinki's probably my favorite 6th boss fight in touhou, it's kind of dramatic and spectacular at the same time. Her wings are impressive.

hm yes I do like the fact that Jinx used sound effects from UFO

In the more recent touhou gmes, there is something called the 'point of collection' when you go above it you collect, all/most of everything on the screen. pause at 4:26 you see that black and white sphere? it's there but lower, so in short, when your character goes high on screen you get all/most powerups wherever they are.

ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope he remakes the first five games also, it would be awesome, plus think of the music, my god, it would be amazing.

In the PC-98 version of this game,shinki just decides : *Middle finger dab mode on* and kills me.

Plus, Shinki's is kinda like the advanced version of 'Evil Recitation', the name of it could be translated into 'Evil/Demon Incarnate'.

後から気づいたけどこれ連縁projectの作者が作ったゲームですね

It's a remake though, and I guess it was done to make the Yumeko fight more normal to modern game's Stage 5's, since the midboss pattern is one of her stage 5 ones.

Even if it's a joke I'm glad they did it! It's very cool to watch even if I never play it.

Shinki is so fucking badass she really needs to be in Touhou again, along with Mima >

I kind of wish it used the older point/power system, i.e. point items= 1ups and power is out of 128 instead of 4.00. It was just better that way.

It seems the description says this wasn't made in Danmakufu. JInx probably put it there to prevent confusion of sorts.

The Funny thing is that the mid-bosses in the PC-98 games that are nameless appear in the modern games like normal youkai

@Jesselejohn by that old touhou trailer do you mean the Defied Submarine Palace one? i think ZUN knew about it... because after you beat the Extra boss with Reimu on Touhou 13 she talks to Reimu about the sea and that Reimu has only seen it once. Wait... i just thought, how did Mamizou get from the other world to Gensokyo as easily as Nue telling her that she needed help...
