The video is believed to actually have been made for their song Nazareth from their EP Two. If you listen to that song then the video makes much more sense.

Nate from spinefarm has pretty much confirmed that Nazareth was supposed to be the single for.this vid but that it wasn't marketable so they punched it up to Jaws.

I knew the video was gonna be very distracting for you guys lol! This is the best Sleep Token song for me. The breakdowns, drumming and the gospel chops towards the end were absolutely top notch. It's funny I never really admired the drums before I found Sleep Token tbh but it legit makes me wanna learn drums even though I've never touched an instrument in my life 😅

as a huge fan of everything sleep token have ever made, it took me a while to get into their EPs. anyone's earliest work isn't gonna be their best, but after a few months the EPs grew on me and are now some of my favorite songs to listen to because i can appreciate them so much more. i personally would recommend working your way through the albums first and returning to the EPs after! listening to them in context of the album trilogy and vessel's entire body of artistry is better imo

I loved it first listen when it first came out.

Jaws was my first introduction to Sleep Token back in the winter of 2018. Luckily, I only heard the audio, so I was spared being distracted by the video. Jaws is what I would term a "grower" and not necessarily an instant love. It wasn't until I heard The Offering in 2019 that I truly got hooked by Sleep Token. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

The audio to their song Nazareth (from ep 2) goes with this video way better. But sure if that's the way its suppose to be or what? Morning ladies 😊😊

Don't know if anybody has informed you there are instrumentals of most their discography, whole Sundowning, and TPWBYT, I think not TMBTE though? But they're VERY ENJOYABLE! Highly recommend checking out. And if you play THIS video with it on mute and play Nazareth, video matches 🤌🏻

Hey you can't love everything! I've found, from listening to ST, who have very few music videos, that I kind-of like listening to new music without the videos, which can be distracting. The only ST video that I think is an absolute must see is Fall For Me. By the way, there are instrument-only versions of both Sundowning and TPWBYT available on YT.

It’s definitely ok for song not to hit you the first time, but I find that they all eventually find their way in…

Dont know if you would actually like it, but there is an Icelandic band that i feel like everyone should check out, they are called Sigur Rós and if you or anyone who is reading this comment choses to check them out, Hoppipolla is a great intro song into the band, one love

There is a zero percent chance a woman had anything to do with the production of this video, because it’s totally fake lesbian shit that’s obviously intended for a male audience. Women overwhelmingly don’t find this stuff sexy. Especially same-sex attracted women-we can spot this as made by a man from a mile away 😂

You need to do Jericho from Their second EP. It is an absolutely gorgeous song

The videos are all about symbolism. They can get distracting. Only a few are like this. Other videos are definitely a must to watch as they lend to the emotions of the song. This is why ST usually only provide visuals for their songs. So you focus on the music and lyrics.

The first day of pride month I know this wasn’t planned but it is ironic 😂 🏳️‍🌈 If anybody were to be mad at ya for not liking it as much as other songs then I’m gonna throw hands 😂 jk of course. When I first heard this song I was obsessed with it and had it on repeat! I think it grabbed me because of the relatable lyrics as well as the chuggy guitars, thicc bass and always the drums! But I also hadn’t seen the video nor did I know one existed for the longest time til it came up on my recommended. And I mean I enjoyed it for… reasons lmao. Aside from the murder stuff lol like other people said this video makes SO MUCH more sense if it was paired with Nazareth because it tells a story that fits the video. I would recommend at least listening to Jaws once without the video and see if that might change a few things. If not that’s totally cool! You got your own tastes and ain’t nothing wrong with that! There’s some Sleep Token songs that were growers for me. I gave them a few more tries when I would just listen to the albums in full and they started to grab my attention. And of course there’s still some that aren’t really my favorite and will occasionally skip over it if I’m not feeling it at that time. And I know you already saw that there are full instrumentals for every song on Sundowning and TPWBYT so after you finish Sundowning if y’all are just chillin’ or whatever you should definitely check it out! I think you might get more benefit from listening to the song without any visuals with the lyrics pulled up to get the most impact from the song. Then go back and watch the music video. But that's just my opinion. Vessel has such a poetic way of writing and I get more out of reading and listening to his lyrics then from any music video they have done. Thanks for taking the time to do these reviews of Sleep Token though!

No, I’m not a newbie and I have recommended a few of their older songs already. Thread The Needle, When The Bough Breaks and Calcutta are some of my favorites. I thought about asking them to react to WTBB but I know that they are not a big fan of songs that start off slow.

That was such a strange video lmao I generally don't like music videos much anyway but that one just made no sense to me and the bugs were gross I am glad that a lot of people in the comments are requesting Nazareth though, since that is probably my favorite of their earlier songs, but I am still being sooo patient waiting for Atlantic since that is my overall fav by them It would have been funny af if after the song was over you guys edited the outro with Andrea wearing a different shirt to show your discontent with the song. Unfortunately ST has no instrumentals that I know of. I guess understable as leaving Vessel out of a song could be percieved as blasphemous. 😄 II does have a little "An Offering From II" series building where he does drum playthroughs. The playthroughs have the vocals cut out so you only hear the music and they do sound cool but not the Drumeo videos, those have to vocals left in. Thats about as close as you'll get to a ST instrumental but maybe look into those anyway because I mean, who doesn't like to see II do his thing am I right? 😏🤌 Legend

Sundowning and TPWBYT instrumental version is on Spotify! The entire albums, all songs, are there! It’s so cool to listen to cause you catch things within the music that you miss when the vocals are in the tracks. I’m sure they also have it on Apple or whatever streaming service you use! Definitely worth checking it out!

Commenting & throwing a like as usual but I can't fully watch the video this time as I hate the Jaws video that much. 😂 It's the only video of theirs I don't like. They're so much better than the whole half-naked woman schtick and thankfully none of the other videos are like this.

This song is absolutely fantastic… but I don’t think I’ve found a single female Sleep Token fan who didn’t hate this video 😂 Between the cockroaches and the overly pornified fake lesbian shit, women see this video and we just roll our eyes. Definitely listen to the song without the video, it’s a banger. But the video? TRASH
