Russ is the second best QB in the NFL. Dude’s one of the most efficient passers of all time even under pressure, having a terrible o-line most of his prime, and still the Seahawks insist on running the ball way more than they should. It’s maddening to watch.

Every team passed up on him and he ended up being the best or at least top three wide receiver in the draft last year

Game after game you could see his play getting smoother and more fluid, and his sync with Russ getting stronger, and it culminated in the spectacular record setting wild card round agains philly

@@Alex-jf4ui what im saying is, you said that tyreek hill is faster and has a better QB, but the thing is being fast and strong like DK is, is whats going to help him against CBs and then russel wislon who is one of the best QBs right now will throw it to him, but tyreek hill is better than DK

The anticipation of when balls are coming to him and getting a more fluid catch process will make him elite. He won't ever run the full route tree and he doesn't need to because hes already more physically gifted than almost anyone that will ever guard him.

This kid is a monster not even a Seahawks fan but really like dk

Can't believe he wasn't picked in the first round. Has there ever been a 2nd round draft receiver who had this good of a rookie year! Seattle got lucky to pick him up so late. Its such a sweet story. Check out his draft call!

Wilson and Metcalf are a match made in heaven.

He’ll definitely be better next season I noticed how each-game he plays his catching and being able to run really-well gets better and better and more fluid definitely a dangerous player for sure

Saint of Last Resorts this is why DK gonna be a beast. His work ethic is fucking fantastic. Saw a short video with him and what looked like his Dad He’s got great support system as well. Everything is in place for this kid to become not only in the NFL but in life, in general.

This guy probably strongest Wide receiver i seen.

I like how Russell took him in and work with him every morning at 6. And they worked out and work together and he trained him.

Nobody: Announcers: and this is the *ROOKIE* DK Metcalf with the catch!

Thing you notice with a lot of these is how much physicality is involved. He's not just blasting past people with his speed, he's pushing upfield on catches for the first. He's taking the hits you're gonna take on some of these middle of the field throws. He's not wincing at possible contact before a contested catch. He's really impressive in this physicality aspect after hearing about him being potentially damaged goods in college.

They did him wrong in the Combine over fears. But, it might have given him the fuel to be even better than what they thought he'd do. I'm glad he landed with a team and has developed so much in a short time! All he needed was a chance. Good luck next year to this young man and the Hawks. Can't wait to see what they do!

Say what you want about his route running. He’s a big play waiting to happen every down, and has potential to be one of the best YAC receivers in the leauge.

I think he lacks the agility, acceleration and change of direction to be elite after the catch. Certainly has the speed/size combo to be the best vertical threat in the league though. Great at high pointing 50/50 contested balls aswell. Had that "spectacular catch" ability

His catching and running abilities are amazing but his ability to block and draw defenders make him next level. Wish they would’ve included those in the video

I'd like to see D.K. develop a powerful stiff arm for more yardage after the catch.Sometimes he high points the ball when he could keep running away from the D.B. on the way to the house.He should limit the iron pumping and work on flexibility.

Carnell Johnson , Its rather obvious that he's sufficiently muscular at this point and could use more flexibility.If you were better informed you would know that the Hawks fired their training staff from 2018,with the new staff presiding over the team that led the league in games lost to injury last year. I wasn't suggesting any specific training regimen.Next time don't comment while tweaking.

Im a Niners fan for life, DK was so raw in 2019, but he will be the next Julio and shine in 2020-1 his potential is beyond any other receiver. Lacks quite a lot of finesse due to his size, but it won't matter.

He is not the next Julio. Hate to break it to you. AJ Brown is much more comparable.

As a Falcons fan, this guy is going to be the next Julio.

This guy is a must draft depending on his value in fantasy.

This guy will be a stud. With his raw talent, give him a little time with a QB like Wilson and Metcalf will learn the finesse part of the job. A shame baldwin wasn't around for a bit to teach him some of those things, but he has lockett to learn from.

You also got to give props to Wilson for being able to hit him even with a tight window. Both will be dangerous this year!!!

Metcalf looks amazing. He reminds me of Jerry Rice. His speed allows him to separate from the defender, and he is able to catch the ball on the run. The best part is how dangerous he is after the catch. He is a Beast! Go Hawks... 12 for life

D3 Nanton nah he only had 58 catches for 900 yards but he had 13 catches for 218 yards in two playoff games tho

How was he not a first round pick? Amazes me seeing some coaches select players in thr NFL. H What a rookie season.

The Physical Monster

There's something about Seattle and drafting these "hidden" or "overlooked" prospects. One of the most monstrous defenses of ALL TIME a few years ago, built almost completely of people nobody wanted. A GOAT QB in the making of Wilson, a QB not many wanted because of his size. Seattle is such a place of opportunity where players have a strong start, or they can rebuild themselves. There's something about Pete Carol that clicks with most players. I was hoping Flash would have turned around, and when Wilson said he wanted AB, this would be a first time where Seattle became a proper offense heavy team (minus the o-line).

Whoever his receiver coach is, give that man a raise, cuz he couldn’t get open for shit in college. He’s making Denzel Mims a lot of money for his style.

What was that? Hes too big, too strong, too fast and too good?? Thats what i thought

He still needs to take that step forward to be considered good. A lot of the highlights are from blown coverage, bad db play or Russ extending the play enough for him to get open. There are a few good catches that shows potential.

You do realize the eagles had one of the worst secondary’s in all of football? In the highlight video, you see it in the catches he had against them. Plus one good game wouldn’t make him great.

I'd argue about the stronger part. Maybe on paper, but he doesn't play that strong, at least yet. T.O. had insane after the catch moves, including a mean stiff arm. D.K goes down when a 5'9 CB hits him. Let's hope he develops into that force of nature T.O was, tho
