Super cute! I recently realized I had no pairs of low waisted denim shorts and so cut up an old pair of jeans. Hope I can sew this by hand well enough because I have no machine - SO cute and I know people will ask where I got them (if I don't screw it up lol)!!!

LOL I love how you say it's super hot outside, yet you and Steph are both wearing long sleeves.

If you're struggling, I would recommend getting some sort of a grid sheet; they are sold printed on sheets of plastic at fabric/crafting stores or they're even on large paper cutters. Place the original hem of the shorts along one of the grid lines. After they're on straight you can just pick which line of the grid above the original hem you want to cut them at, mark the shorts on both sides of each leg, then place a ruler from each mark you made, draw a line along it and cut! Hope that helps :)
