Metal in a microwave is an extraordinarily bad idea.
You shouldn't be putting candles in the microwave! Metal components could be dangerous !!!

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "troubleshooting candle making" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my brother in law got excellent success with it.
I like how you reused the wick holder. 3:18 you poured the wax very HOT (still see thru) !!! Indentation on the top is caused by pouring the wax that was still too HOT. If you wait a few minutes to pour & mix the hot wax while waiting till it is cooler, not a clear liquid anymore, then pour it. It will solidify super flat on top!
metal in a microwave is not a good idea...unless you want a new microwave
At last instructions from start to finish. Good video. You made it look good. and easy. . As others have pointed out. no metal in micro. . Bad idea. Thank you.
Uh, why did you put metal in the microwave??? I don't recommend doing that.
You can pour boiling hot water into left wax and it will dislodge it all by melting it to the top...😁
ok no, the wick does not absorb any of the wax. It hollows in the middle because the wax was too hot when you poured it in. wait for the wax to cool a bit first, then pour it in :) also dont put metal in the microwave! (tin foil is also metal for anyone who didnt realise)

@Prairiedoggen yeah don't do it lol.. I stuck m jars with wax in a fry pan with water and I used a wick thread and dipped it into the tallest one.. then I cut it to fit and inserted it in each one while it was malleable enough. Pretty easy :) Sometimes I just stick another candle on top of the old wax and sometimes it just keeps burning and burning for a couple of days.. Be careful that the jar is tough enough because some of my salsa jars crack and catch on fire in the end lol

@Prairiedoggen No I havent but I'm sure they would work.. tall small would be nice as they may burn longer? and you don't have to fill them up high?

@Prairiedoggen someone batter you recently or are you a scorpio? it means to put it out under the moonlight to cleanse the energy. :) Nice to do in full , new moon or maybe one of the eclipses.. i normally dont bother with things, but am more interested in all this stuff now. you could sage it as well.. burn bay leaves or rosemary and smoke it.. whatever you feel.
Many thanks for you help with re-using left over wax.

How long do you wait on average for the wax to cool down?
Great video
If you want to make more candles than you have leftover wax, can you add soy wax flakes to increase volume? I have no idea what the leftover wax is made of. Thanks.
I made a couple of candles and in each I have indentations in the middle, about half a finger. Does anyone know why this is so?
hey can we melt the candle by the double boiler method

Kirti Caumul that is how I have always done it and it is very good because when the was starts to cool you can just put it back in the hot water

Mandisha's channel hi.. i can just mix all the different kinds of waxes in one go right? the smell won't be too strong is it ? ✌
the wick holder is made of metal so next time put on the stove in a pan or pot of boiling water.
if you leave the wick on the roll.. and cut after.. you will save even more co friendly behaviour..other wise retain for a shirt candle with multiple wicks
Great video thank you. And you're very cute fingernails decoration.
Did anyone else get nervous when she put the metal wick holder in the microwave?....
Thanks for sharing...but please switch the microwave for a hot water bath !
Heating on the stove directly can start a fire.
What if its just a myth about the metal in microwave thing.!

You can buy 100 already made wicks on Ebay for about 99p, it would make it so much faster.
2 or 3 hrs. oh my i can get the wax out of 8 jars in 15 min..with hot water not boiling boom!!!!
The glue you using to stick the wax base is inflatable , so that is not a good idea all you had to do was take a lighted candle and drop a few melted drops into the base of the jar and hold the wax base onto it and it will stick in less than minute and also you cannot put the metal wax base in the microwave again that is a NO!! NO!!.
No one gonna comment on the fact that she let the hulk use her microwave?
the microwave buttons..
Extremely dangerous!!! Wax in microwave danger of fire and explosion through vaporised wax, risk of severe burns!
No you don't put the wick holder which is metal in Microwave oven !!!!
also direct heat to the wax will cause the wax to burn...you should use the two teir method...like put the wax in a pot...and put that pot in water...so much wrong info in this video
*Do NOT* put a candle in the microwave I put mine in and it almost exploded in my microwave PLEASE DO BETTER RESEARCH
Its funny how people comment on using metal in a microwave when she never said to do it. She did state you could use a microwave but make sure what you use is microwave safe. Use your ears folk and listen.

Oh hun, you shouldn't directly heat wax on the stove that's dangerous. Wax is supposed to be melted in a double boiler. You're also pouring the wax when it's too hot which is partly why you're getting that dip around the wick. And the bubbles in the other one are because you're pouring too fast. Please, get some more advice yourself before posting DIY videos, you could hurt someone.
