Shared. I will be in Auvergne for a week in September. Then, another region. I love living here in France!
We really liked our week in Auvergne in September, 2012. We rented a house in Murol. We liked the people, the Auvergnats, very much. We found them "très solidaire." Auvergne seems to be a sportsperson's PARADISE! We hope to visit again and I would like to fish there, as I used to love that. I'd always heard the Massif Central was great, and now I know, that is true! The altitude took awhile to get used to, but I liked it there!
thank you for sharing. mercy bien! I spent two summers working in a cooking studio near Ahun in La Creuse and I fell in love with Massif Central.

ah! i spent a week in Rennes last june. my grandfather is a native of Ploubazlanec near Dinan, though he lives now in Toulouse, where he raised my father and uncle and aunts next summer I mean to come back to Brittany, for St. Malo, and surely Quimper! and the armorican Massif!
THANKS FOR THIS SUPER VIDEO
La Ruche Auvergnat ! Très bon miel au ça oui. Oh ! punaise. Sa me manque.
haha, beautiful. i imagine you've had your share of experiences in and around the pyrenees? the french half of my family has a nice cabin in ax-les-thermes, a village north of andorra. it's all so magical there. coming home to san diego is always a kick in the arse
Merci pour partager votre région avec tous les francophiles ;) Thanks for sharing your region with us Francophiles :) Il faut visiter le Massif Central la prochaine fois quand je suis dans la région!
The Lubéron region of Provence is so full of wonderful villages, it just bowled me over. Generally, I found the landscapes even more stunning than those in Tuscany, Italy, and that is saying a lot, cuz I am gaga for Italy. A lot of people overlook Quimper, which is a shame. You get French and Celtic (Breton) culture and language there and that city has "something for everyone." We were seriously interested in Montmorency near Paris for awhile. We are looking for an apt in Paris again ...

Auvergne are also celtic
We love Rennes! We are trying to persuade my elderly, widowed, frail mother in law to get an apt there. She retired to Monteneuf, where she was born, which is between Rennes and Vannes. Her spouse died earlier this year. I love Dinan! We have been there twice and then we went on to Dinard, which was also good! I didn't like St. Malo all that much, but it is not bad. I have seen a lot of Brittany in the past 18 years. It's a pretty good place to visit. And generally affordable!
Hard to say, but offhand, I like Quimper in Brittany, Selestat in Alsace, Gordes and some other places in Lubéron, Montmorency near Paris, Verneuil in Normandy is interesting ... the Vexin region is gorgeous. I had a really nice vacation in Auvergne and Lubéron this past September and put up many clips -- and I also post on Dailymotion under "LisaFalour." Colmar is fabulous. (I'd live in Selestat not far from there, however.) I had a chance to buy an apt in Selestat and didn't and regret it!

The whole Armorican region is good. We had to visit several times, we liked it so much. We often pick places in France to visit and stay which are not "popular." They are often just as good and interesting as the more famous, popular places! Something about Bretons reminds me of New England yankees. Yup, Quimper is very overlooked, yet it has an international airport nearby in Brest, and a TGV train goes into Paris from there! You get a lotta bang for your buck there!
i must visit one day :)
I knew an artist in San Diego years ago, Dave Fobes. Wonder where he is now? Yeah, I studied in Italy and got "Florence Syndrome" big time. After Europe, the States were never really satisfactory for me anymore. Life is not perfect here in France, we have problems here, too, but I'd much rather have 'em here! Hee hee hee hee!!
which is your favorite region, and city?
Merci from Australia! Very much enjoyed your video which brought great memories of the magnificent Auvergne during a dawdle through southern/central France by me with my wife in 2000 - see my site at "youtube nleeder" to appreciate just how much we enjoyed la belle France!!.

hello, tu sais comment s'y rendre? merci
