I really don't understand the thumbs down on this, or frankly any other instructional art tutorial. It's all information and experimentation to be used at your discretion. I personally love the colors left on the canvas and I'm inspired and will try this technique. Thank you Elizabeth for this unique idea! I love it!
This is a such a cool technique, loved watching this ❤ reverse collage! Who would have thought 😅 I have to say, it was incredibly satisfying to watch, I was one of those kids who loved putting glue on their hands and then peeling it off when it was dry, and this reminded me of that 😂 Thanks for sharing! This was so fun.

it sure is a bit like peeling glue off your fingers for sure! it's just like posters in the city, being pasted over others and being torn off! Collage has many cousins, décollage, montage, assemblage.....
Lolol!! Ripping pieces of paper, gluing it down randomly, pulling them off and doing it again!! Who can resist? So much FUN!! Plus I love the random look ! Can’t wait to do it!!! Plus I’ve got the papers to waste!!😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

@ElizabethStHilaire

I don't know, I always work on a rigid panel because I will collage on top of this, I would think you would just have to worry about warping, because the glue is very wet.
Fascinating process ! I was wondering If the type of paint or ink affect how much color is left behind !?

Hi Angela - I water my impasto gel (very stiff). It is hard to mix by hand - it goes lumpy - but it works well with a stick blender.
With the video being two years old, I’m wondering if you can show us what you’ve created on this awesome background.

You can get old books at library sales that way your supporting your local library and get cheap supplies to use in different ways your upcycling i wished you showed what you could do with the finished piece you created, as a beginner could I used a acrylic painting on top like use a painting on a sheet of watercolor? but how do I adheres it to fredrick board or could I just paint over the piece with acrylic painting, could I do a molding paste picture over finished board ? Bit confused lol... I'm not sure🤔 what I'm allowed to try without running the under layer that took time and is quite beautiful......lol...do u have video I could watch???? No because we are going to seal them which prevents air from getting to them, which does not allow oxidation
