V1.1 released today. Flies easier(a little bit) and there are a lot more key bindings. No more lifting your headset to see the Insert button.

The Wolf Pack US server 11 has added this mod to their search and recue server. You don't need the mod to enter the server though. Going to be the ultimate test for this awesome bird.

i don't use curves at all EVER i dont use trim i fly every rotor from the moment i pick it up to i touchdown i also fly a lot .like everyday a lot.i have a virpl warbrd base with a 12 cm extension an thrustmaster f18 grip on it so that helps as well .just practice, i know it only been out 3 days but they are all kinda the same idea

@@LEAD-DISPENSER your answer leads me to believe that me and my friends help is bugged only all other helus just fine this one do doesn’t matter what I do it refuses to stay still it constantly trying to flip and is super sensitive to the point that it’s uncomfortable I don’t have the most high end stuff but I seriously doubt it’s my equipment so idk maybe it’s my settings

@@bodey6173 go into your binds an make sure your axis are not doubled up i watched spinos vid his channel is on my channels home page if you want to watch it . anyway his joystick was really messed up looked like he was using a keyboard there is an update out now you may want to get that as well i put up a vid about an hour ago flying it

what do you think of the flight model ? lotta people saying it cant be flown lol

I think its fine i mean i fly it . If i had to say anything i think the governor is to sensitive for 60s tech it drops a lot of power in a hover pedal turn even tho the rotor an engine speed don't change personally I think that needs to be less sensitive./or a slower mushyer response . also the amount it inputs is to high when i left pedal it should start to climb a little in a hover an right it should drop in a sustained pedal turn. This drops or climbs the moment you touch the pedals even if only for a few seconds an it shouldn't a turbine engine is just not that responsive .that's really all i could pick at if i had to, . but overall it fly's fine "IMO"

I've managed to take off and do some rocket run but one big problem though. I cannot bring her back to land in one piece. How do you shoot the minigun? I switched from rocket mode to gun mode. Pulled trigger. Nothing happened?

so the bottom rotary dial on the front panel needs to be 2 clicks to the right also the guns have a 1 second delay on the trigger pull its really quit sh&t but that's how it is so if your just quick bursting the guns wont have a chance to fire

I have a long extension, but I set my pitch to -68 and roll to -72. Made a HUGE difference. Makes it extremely sensitive so you aren't yanking your stick back and forth and side to side causing over correction.

no curves at all, but my pedals i have lowered the saturation to 70%

It's an unflyable aircraft I've found out.

@@LEAD-DISPENSER Well let me re-prhase it. I was able to hover and take off (with great difficulty, of course) and about a mile or two from where I took off @ speed around 60knots then the heli just pitches up and the the master caution beeps and the next thing I knew was I was in a big fire ball (crash and burn). This pattern repeats a few times then I finally threw in my towel!!!

@@hueyfoo sounds like a control binding issue nothing in the flight model would cause that .there have been a few cases of binds being doubled up an this has been rectified in the update 1.1 do you have 1.1 . if you were interested in trying again id say take a look in your controls an see if axis are on 2 separate controllers if not well you had a go :)

Oh how I wish it was fully VR compatible.

@@daedone I've had VTOL VR since it first came out and i never play it for the very reason i said above .also vtol VR is not even slightly sensitive in the controls no skill needed at all.if they've fix it so i could you a hotas id probably fly it again but ive never bothered to download it again to try so dont know

Yeah but what modders can do without the game itself as a platform...? And which is easier, developing a game or a mod? I think ED is doing their job pretty good or at least not that bad. Also, ED knows modders help the game to be more popular so ED made DCS mod friendly and modders know they can do nothing without the game. So they help each other.

@@JBGaming0423 True but dcs would be nothing without mods an community scripters an server hosts mission makers all done by the community all of it, , an for free ED don't even host there own game servers, I'm a dcs fan all the way but the base game by it self is literally nothing but a handful of modules an maps .that community could just as easily go to another game an we would all be very bored ED has built up that community over !5 years you'll never get that back if it leaves. .hats of to these guys

​@@JBGaming0423ED is not mod friendly at all, they are encrypting more and more stuff and nothing is documented or have their oficial support, all we have now is thanks for the DCS modding comunity alone, lots of poking around and trial and error to get were we at now...

Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but my DCS install keeps disabling this.

So it goes in saved games folder you need to make a TECH folder under the aircraft folder an put the files in the same path as the mod . you can just put the aircraft in an leave out the asset pack if you don't want it for more info pop in to their discord the link is in the description :).

@@PoochAndBoo it is may i suggest with the twistgrip lower your sataration to around 50/60% on the twist don't use curves they will mess you up
