Any other day I would agree but I will give them the benefit of the doubt because of the pouring rain.

This was definitely the hardest game to watch thus far this season. The stadium already made the game feel like watching a high school game. Then the missed kicks and fumbles started happening. And to top it all off, the camera lenses were constantly obstructed by rain drops as the game went on. I understand you can only do so much to combat the weather, but man it really didn't help the vibe this game had going for it. Hopefully this is the low point of the season.

Yeah, the stadium is a joke. I was wondering the whole time what Gregg Williams was thinking to himself as he looked around at an empty minor league baseball stadium, wishing he was back in the nfl. As for the fumbles and FG’s, this game had High winds and hard rain. Certainly a major factor for an ugly game.

well for as much as DC prides itself on having "the best homefield advantage in the league" - in terms of the weather something like this could def happen in DC. In which case you would hope the field would hold up, but if the camera quality is the same etc. we're probably in for another long night.

We've seen some pretty hard to watch games in the NFL before so it doesn't bother me at all. I actually find that high-school-esque struggle to keep a team together through the elements and the turnovers that result to be quite endearing. True, the stadium and the crowd is underwhelming, but my expectations are never high for spring league games.

His defense started really good but can only do so much w no offense. I don’t remember seeing any Vgs highlights in first half lol

D’Eriq has been criminally underrated his entire football career.

For XFL 2020, i really appreciated Ta'amu's game. But it was hard to deny that King's presence dominated and shifted the offense, for the better!

Ta'amu can throw better. But King definitely gives them more options. Especially in this league.

DC have a nice run game with D. King under center, I think they perform better with him as QB1 and the DC defense is tough. Vegas offense looks bad, I know the weather played a factor tonight but still, they were bad for the 2nd half of last week as well. Plus the Vegas defense couldn’t stop DC’s run game. I hate the Vegas home field/stadium, find a new venue for next year. ❌🏈

The Outlaws played at Sam Boyd Field back in the original XFL. It's about twice the size, but not huge, and a dedicated football field. Much nicer place. Cashman is a dump. A cheap soccer field.

Their OL has got to block better, and Perez had the worst game of his career. 1-5 before leaving the game. Defense couldn't stop the run either, obviously.

Still don't get putting a team in Vegas if u have to use a baseball stadium... plenty of other cities that have empty stadiums.

The XFL had all their teams picked and stadium contracts signed , except for Vegas. There were reports they were still working on a stadium deal for the Vipers a month before kickoff. This makes me think they should have kept the Vipers in Tampa Bay. At least that team played in a Football stadium

Glad you like it. This was probably the worst game of the year so far. Several good games so far otherwise.

Said it after week 1... King should be starting over Ta'amu. The offense just moves better. Ta'amu almost cost this team both wins, but King and the defense is rolling. 2-0. Go Dedenders.

K look, I get it's not the NFL. I LOVE Spring football. But how did they green light the Vipers Stadium? There was literally NO live grass to be had. How is it, that literally every other team has a decent location and Vegas fans are forced to go there? XFL you messed up. There needs to be a change up here in the near future.

Cashman is a total dump. A combo baseball/soccer stadium. The old XFL Outlaws played at Sam Boyd, which is twice the size, but not huge, and dedicated to football. That's where the team should play. My guess is the XFL got to rent Cashman for free, or close to it.

One thing I never understood about football fans is the incessant whining about missed field goals, fumbles, interceptions, etc. Welp, got news for ya folks, that is part of the game. Do you always play an amazing round of golf? Probably not. Do you play tennis like a pro? Doubtful. Get the point people? Give it a rest.

If you're DC. This is your offense now. I like Jordan Ta'amu. And he has running ability also. But this is your offense. Read option. RPO. Big play action over middle of field passes cuz the play action will draw the linebackers up. This is your offense for rest of the year.

Best stadium in the league

I know the weather and bad field made this look sloppy, but some of yall havent been to a highschool game in a while. Most of these guys were D1 and/or former NFL. Some of them starters. This is the highest level of play youre gonna find outside of the NFL.

Rules in CFL are also weird and playoffs being the same time are as NFL is awful. We can also look at viewership numbers. Despite the huge drop from their last season pre covid, XFL is drawing way more views. CFL also has had its lowest viewership in 5 years.

Bum's kid is too old to coach. You mean CFL rules are unique. it's the XFL rules that are weird. That kickoff formation is awful and goes against tradition. XFL ratings have lost 50% viewership from 2020 and it's going to get worse. Just over 9000 in that horrible Cashman stadium, that looks bush. Stick a fork in the Rock's 3rd rebooted league. Wrong again CFL ratings on TSN have increased by 12%

They can't. UNLV, which owns Sam Boyd, has a no competition contract with alligent Stadium so no football at Sam Boyd til that is up. They should have tried to see if they could play there games at Fertita Field on the Bishop Gorman campus. Yes it's a high school but it looks like an actual stadium.

I know it is a stretch but the game played this weekend was hurting players.

D.C. ran power read to perfection this game. Even hit the pop pass off it.

Bro I thought the Vipers looked solid Week 1, but this game they looked REALLY bad. I think part of it was DCs suffocating defense, but still this was not good from them. Also King definitely adds something to the DC offense, I hope he starts from now on. I'm interested to see how these teams, and the others progress later in the season.

I love the XFL, but this is the "worst" game of this season so far. Too many mistakes. Field was terrible. Crowd not good. Yes, I realize rain in the desert was a real issue, but it also sucks they aren't playing in Sam Boyd, where the Outlaws played. Good win on the road for DC though. Smart running in the rain, using King the way they did. 2-0. I'm surprised Perez had such a bad game for Vegas.

If i were the XFL, i would be worried. They screwed themselves last week with zero marketing prior to kickoff, then anyone who may have been interested tuned in this week and saw awful field conditions, poor TV production, and sloppy football. For a casual fan, that’s enough to check out and be done with your product.

Las Vegas did the XFL no favors by making the Vipers play in this Stadium. I hope next season they are in something much better.

I said this before the season, if D'Eriq King is the QB, DC will win the whole thing. An elite dual threat QB gives you a big advantage in leagues like this where you aren't facing top level defenses. Any XFL defense is going to have a hard time matching up with him.

@@porschepal7932 I've actually gone on record of saying, you're not going to find mobile white QB's at this level. You can find mobile black QB's but for some odd reason, they steer clear of them. Makes no sense. And each time they put them in, they kill it. It's nota matter of race. There black QB's just happen to have the ability to make an offense go and their speed just happen to be a factor in that.

You can hear me and my friends hissing every time the Vipers had a good play. So about 5 times all game

It’s shown kickers are a team weakness and their is only 10 I’d trust game on the line the nfl and American style football needs to look for more kickers because honestly what’s the nfl doing after Justin tucker…….patriots even use a older kicker because new ones are bad. Nobody has accurate length short length accuracy I think it’s only young ho koo atl and McPherson Cincy
