    8:40 A big earthquake happened in Türkiye this year. The place he was feeding people in was that earthquake region, those were the people who become homeless, lost their friends, families and such. He is also from that region so he probably lost a lot of his friends and family as well.

    I think it is not Ketchup but sambal/chili sauce, together with Garlic sauce (the white sauce). they use it in my local Turkish snack bar and it looks like ketchup form a distance

    9:30 Döner is shwarma in Arabic-speaking countries which is arabic pronunciation of "Chewirme" which means rotating in Turkish. It is the basically the same thing. However, Arab brothers like it more spicy and saucy. We like it plain.

    Yes my Arab friend at the gyro shop near me taught me similarly. Most of the dishes were Greek style and were thus not as hot, but they always had the option for those who were used to the Arabic and Turkic versions of the dish, to add his family recipe hot sauce on the side.

    I lived in Brazil for a year back in 2005. Not once did I ever see anyone eat Popcorn with Ketchup.. Now... I saw a WHOLE LOT of other things eaten with Ketchup, so you get a pass this time Guga! Tudo Bem!

    I read somewhere that the word „shawarma“ was originally a turkish word. The Word is „cevirme“ which means „spinning“ in turkish. I thougt it was quite interesting. Loved this Video btw ❤

    Yes, because there is no CH sound in standard Arabic (though some dialects might have it). As such, the Turkish CH (written as a Ç) becomes SH in Arabic.

    People, if you have never had doner, make it your new year's resolution to have one. In particular german style doner because that bread is to die for. Add the fresh shaven chicken or lamb, pickled onions, tomato, yougurt, and cheese topped with some spice and you will die and live life a new.
