    @@Stray03 Well, yes, I'm very curious about his detonation principle. How is he set up in it? It can actually be detonated in a pull-type manner, and the failure rate is low. It is still a good invention now. I have a common hobby with you.

    Yeah they are friction fuzes.a wire is pulled through a friction sensitive mixture sort of Like matches work. That ignites the delay and that sets off the detonator. I should have one somewhere but didn't make a video on it because not much to show with actual part.

    The ancient Greeks invented the bayonet lock and used it often as a jewelry..hasp, I guess. It wouldn't be a clasp since it doesn't close like a claw.?Anyway. Great job and explanation. Besides trainers I'm always curious of amount manufactured, you know odds of seeing one in WW3 and all that. If you ever feel like a vid on the German type 3, I won't begrudge you for not having an example. The incin. that biplanes dropped on zepplins are another rare bird. The ones with the pedals that bent back as the point went in the fabric and pulled a big match up the center. Near as I can tell from illustrations that is.

    Yeah. The bayonet lock I mentioned is the vh 7a, not this one. I guess a clasp could work as a way to describe the way this one locks.

    Sorry to go off topic but the video where you tested out your practice piat shell. Would that be considered a DD? If so, what would be considered "the firing mechanism" or "the inert shell" DD?

  • @Stray03

    @Stray03

    I think it falls under DD in the US but I don't know how they enforce that law since I think you can own the launcher in the US without problems. You would have to ask someone in the US who deals with DD.

    The thing that is made to fire out pepper dust? it is 20g and is technically not a firearm I think because putting a real round in the barrel would destroy it, once again DD is a US thing and I'm not a lawyer so best bet is to talk to someone there about it.
