CZ512 After the Warranty Work - Did they fix it?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I got the CZ 512 back after sending it in to see why it wouldn't cycle properly. Lets take a look at what CZ said and see if it works correctly now.

I’m so glad to see this follow up! How a company handles its warranty repairs says A LOT about them. Even the best make mistakes but it’s about what they do to fix them that really matters.

About 6 years ago I bought a CZ 527 [7.62 x 39] When I first got it the bolt was kind of gritty or rough feeling and the accuracy was terrible. I am an experienced shooter and usually shoot pretty tight groups. CZ sent me a postage paid shipping label for me to send it back to them. Less than 3 weeks later I got a package from CZ. I went to the range soon after and tried it out and it operated like butter and gave me 1 to 1-1/2" groups as long as I wanted to shoot. CZ more than fixed it, they put a different new rifle in my stock and also bedded the action. I now own about 8 CZ firearms and am happy with all of them. I also own 3 VZ 58s so I guess I am a CZECH GUN NUT.

I had a CZ 455 Varmint a while back that would put two shots into an inch at 100 but threw the third shot out by 2 to 3 inches every time. It didn't matter what ammo I tried, it would do that with anything I ran through it! I glass bedded it and tried a pressure bed at the fore arm tip and nothing made any difference. I sat and studied over that problem for hours and hours, trying to figure out what the problem was and after I sold it and began looking at picking up a 457 American, it dawned on me that I should have removed that barrel and looked for any burrs that might have been left over and missed by QC! Looking back on it, I might have fixed that problem, but you never know! I have looked at this 512 as a replacement, but I have accuracy expectations that I don't believe this rifle will meet. You have a great channel my friend and I had to sub! Wish that I had found you sooner though!

I have a bunch of guns that will put multiple rounds through the same hole.....I just can't make them do it! Lol I think sometimes when it's going good with a group, I start getting a little excited and that throws me off. I hope to get this 512 out soon and do an accuracy video, I may make the sandbags first and try that. I want to do a comparison between the CZ512 and the Rossi RS22M too. Eventually, if I can find a Savage A22 Magnum, I'd like to throw it into the mix. @@SmallCaliberArmsReview I'll spread the word my friend! As far as shooting small and tight groups go, I have my good days and then I have days when I just go rock hounding instead! But, on a good day, I do pretty well! I'm a fan of CZ rimfires and have upgraded to the 457 in everything rimfire that I shoot. Got very lucky in that to, because they have all turned out to be extremely accurate and very reliable with no issues at all. I'm struggling with the MTR though... It's very accurate with the match barrel that came on it, but Josh over at "Pursuit of Accuracy" installed a Lilja target barrel on his competition rifle and man does that thing shoot! So, now I've got the "Hots" for one! The cost is reasonable for a Lilja and I just might do it, but I don't shoot competition, so I am torn.. I'll let you know what I end up doing! Have a great day my friend!

I didn't have this issue with the Rossi RS22M. It's about the same temp here right now. I'll be glad when winter is over! Thanks for watching!

I bought a CZ P01 new. After only the 2nd time on the range it has malfunctioned. The warranty process looks like a run around. I don't think I can trust this company again.

The warranty process for me was pretty quick and painless.

@@SmallCaliberArmsReview I will give it a try. But I'm going to sell it regardless, I just don't think CZ is the high quality most people say they are.

@@watchingthecrazyworld7761 I was not overly impressed with this rifle.

Maybe CZ is right about how the recoil being on the stout side. I shot mine 2 days and it just seems more than I expected for this small caliber. I mention that because it has been having jamming issues. I wonder if it might be some old ammo my brother had. He lived in N.C. and maybe it was affected by humidity. I will try some brand new ammo to eliminate if that is the cause
