I own both. Personally I prefer the PCR. It feels a little better in my hands and, more importantly, I shoot it a little better. I like the P07, I love the PCR. Can’t go wrong with either.

I'm like you. I have one of each, and like the ergonomics of the PCR just that tiny bit better than I do the P07. That said, my HD piece is a P09 (as you know, a bigger version of the P07) that I got through one of those auction sites, already fitted with a red dot sight. The magazines for my P10F work in both the P07 and P09. When I was new to carrying a pistol on a regular basis, I was like a lot of folks, and was unhappy about carrying with a round in the chamber. I bought my P07, and after testing it a bit and getting comfortable with the DA/SA dynamics, I am much more willing to carry "hot." I refuse to give anyone a hard time for carrying with an empty chamber. You do you, as the saying goes. I was uncomfortable with a round in the chamber with striker-fired pistols, but the heavier trigger pull of the DA/SA system (at least with the CZ pistols) and the ability to keep my thumb on the hammer when I'm holstering the pistol got me less unhappy with carrying "hot."

I just picked up a PCR over the P01 and P07. I love my P09, but wanted something with a decocker that I can carry instead of my manual safety Rami. I hope that the PCR is worth the fifty bucks over the P07, and the fifty less than the P01.

Bought both used. P-07 came with suppressor height sights and threaded barrel with 17 round mags. P-75D came with one (1) 14 round and two (2) 15 round CZ mags. >500 rounds in P-07 and 100 rounds in P-75D, just got it yesterday. No issues with either. Both are great guns and shoot well. Previous owners of both kept all the items from the original purchase so I got lucky there.

I have the p07 and p09. I carry the 07. Love it. I shoot it a lot , usually with the kadet .22 conversion kit. I love the looks of the PCR and the fact that it’s all metal. I’m saving for it next. I wish it had a flat faced trigger like the 07 and 09… but whatever. Just tuning in to see what ya had to say.

Helpful. Thank you. After a lot of research, I went with the PcR for my first firearm. In California, the options are limited. I really liked the look of the P 01, but it was recently discontinued and not really available for California. Perhaps I could find a used one out there…My next purchase I plan to get the full size 75 B. Those will be my two CZ pistols. I do like the Dan Wesson 1911 45s though. Wilson Combat too. Perhaps 🤔 I will have to have three pistols…

My EDC evolution started with a P10S, which I found did not work well for magazine changes with my hands. I tried a P10C for a while, and still have it, but as a fairly new carry person, was not ready to carry with one in the chamber. As I read and learned about how other pistols worked, I gave some thought to the P07 because the DA/SA trigger pulls sounded like what I wanted. I shot a P07 some, and it became my carry piece--with a round in the chamber. I have a generic holster that didn't work well with my P07, and the 75-series trigger guards looked like they'd work, so I thought about compacts in that range as my next carry piece. Of the three primary CZ offerings (P01, P01 Omega, and PCR) I considered, the PCR had the best (for ME) decocker lever, and the sights were reasonable compared to what the others in the shop that day had. I shoot fairly well with my PCR (on par with how I do with my P07), but might switch out the sights at some point (maybe experiment with some of the offerings from Cajun Gun Works). Maybe I'm just lucky. I have somewhat strong hands (albeit not as strong as they were when I was a younger man), so the smaller slide surfaces don't present the problem for me that some mention. Is the bore axis that much lower than on, say, a Sig P365? Maybe. I haven't measured. Does the slide riding inside the frame make a huge difference? Maybe. I haven't measured or done extensive testing. I do know that, aesthetically speaking, I like my assortment of CZ pistols far more than I would any Glock pieces I've ever seen, cognizant that "looks don't indicate reliability." There's a SigSauer P365XL in the inventory, and my spouse likes it better than anything else she's tried (including a couple of M&P pistols and my CZs). I find it a bit narrow for my XXL hands, even though it's a fine piece. I really prefer the PCR to any other pistol I've had in a holster. The trigger guard is big enough for my XXL hands, the decocker lever is in just the right place, and the other controls are easy for me to use. And it shoots where I point it, every single time. If I can only point it at what I want to hit, now... ;-)

Thought about getting either one...just haven't had a chance to shoot...let alone hold one yet. Really wanting to try out that lower bore axis. By luck i just found out that a uncle has a cz 75..that he may want to get rid of.

I have an older P01 and recently bought a P07. The P01 is just a better gun which you would expect for the money. Both the single action and double action trigger are better and I like the de-cocker better. That being said, the P07 is a great gun and it is more fun to shoot on the range, as it seems to have less perceived recoil probably because of the frame. Can’t go wrong with either, but there is a big difference in price and aesthetics 👍great review

What’s ambi with the 75 platform is the trigger guard machining cut into the frame. Putting your finger there as a rest lets you know you’re right where the trigger is.. you’re right next to it.

I have the P-01 with thin Lok Grips. It's an excellent firearm! I've never had a malfunction with it, but it's a little heavy compared to my Glock 43X. I really wanted to carry it, but the difference in comfort is so drastically different that I always reach for the 43X. The quality of a CZ has definitely made me a CZ fanboy though.

I own the CZ PCR and it is far superior to polymer guns. All metal and inside the rail slide reduce recoil and improve accuracy by limiting muzzle flip. I have never had a failure to feed or extract. The only negative is it is heavier than polymer so I don't carry it much in warmer weather.

@@TheArkansasGunGuyif you look up Eriklax on KZread, he often reviews CZ pistols and breaks them down and shows how he implemented the Cajun upgrades himself. Many of the components he said are easy to do by oneself. A spring and a couple other parts looked very simple and he said it helped the trigger pull and the handling of the pistol. I guess it only cost him $40 dollars for the few parts…I just ordered a PCR and plan to keep it stock for the most part. But this cat said that those small, inexpensive upgrades from Cajun are easy and worth it. he said it won’t change the accuracy that takes practice, but it will help with the handling.
