Which would you say is better between future and fcs 2 fins? I currently use a thruster future setup and it works great but im thinking of getting my next board with fcs 2.

G'day, I'm considering buying either a Cymatic or Evo. I have seen your reviews on both, and just want to ask how they differ in feel and performance on a wave? Is one quicker than the other? Do they both accelerate quickly as soon as you get to your feet? Anything you could add?

I have one 4 inches shorter than me and still could size down two more inches! How does 7 inches feel?

Yeah it didn't seem like you connected with the board at all, but not much open face on those waves to give it a chance. The Tomos really open up on down the line points vs. shoulder-less beachbreaks. At 66kg (147lbs) the 5'3 Cymatic @ 25.4L seems like too much volume for you at your skill level, could be why it didn't connect. The 5'3 would work better if you were closer to 72kg (160lbs), maybe give the 5'2 @ 23.9L a go on a proper point. On another note, it's pretty rare in the board review game to talk about why a shape isn't working. A solid board review isn't just a regurgitation of what the brand has written on their website, but an honest in depth look at why something does or doesn't work and what are the variables that affect either conclusion (wave quality, skill level, volume, fins, traction pad placement, board design, personal preference etc) with at least half the review including enough footage of the board being ridden to prove what the reviewer is saying. If you're interested in doing more reviews, I would take a look at what Noel Salas is doing at his Surf N Show board review youtube channel. Cheers🤙

Ride it as a thruster with K2.1 fin templates and it will be a top 5 all time guaranteed.

Would you say this board is made more for better waves or weaker waves? Also how does it ride with a thruster setup? (considering this board for a trip through Baja California)
