Listening to this song reminds me how much relevant thrash metal is today as it was yesterday. My wish is that there'd be 1 internet radio that plays only all old school thrash metal. No nu-metal or metalcore or modern metal--no crap. Just straight up, old school thrash... And I don't think that that station will be in danger of repetition because there are hundreds, if not thousands of thrash metal albums out there. Speak of true metal and thrash is most defenitely true metal.

My band opened for them a couple of times in Chicago. Members of my band loved their music and stage presence. We "stole" some ideas from them as well... It was hard not to when they were doing things that no other band I ever heard was doing... Listening back to them now, I think they are a "even better - Anthrax"

I was always a loner because I think for myself You never accepted me for me but why did you pretend Why should I speak when no one ever listens to me Inside I die misery my only friend [Chorus:] Why Why Why can't I be me Why Why Smothered from reality Scream Scream Someone listen to me Scream Scream Pay attention to me I will be what you want me to be I will think what you want me to think My reason for being only my parents to please I'm not the perfect child you made me out to be My problems my imperfections you never wanted to see [Chorus] Dear Mom and Dad, I write this letter telling you I am now free. It was your lack of love and attention is what killed me. So don't blame some heavy metal record to cover your own neglect. Your perfect picture turned fatal, portrait not what you've come to expect Each time I squeeze the trigger the pain slowly subsides Put the gun to my own head now I too must die Die Die Dying to be me Why Why Smothered from reality Scream Scream Someone listen to me Scream Scream Pay attention to me Eighteen years I've hurt in silence and now they ask why Why did he snap Why did he kill He was always the perfect child Live your life through me and telling me how to live Sheltered from reality did anyone care how I felt Five o'clock on the evening news child goes on a killing spree Now I have your attention Now you'll listen to me [Chorus]

This whole album is imho one of the best Thrash Metal albums...loved even when it was Znowhite. But i have some bitter feeling about that album since it was aired when war in ex Ygoslavia started and only recently I started to fully enjoy it, also owing to my buddy, ex singer of Serbian true metal band Thundersteel now living in Canada sung Words are just words on accoustic and inserted it on his FB page, sounds killer 🤘....awesome band 🤘🤘

Close but no they formed basically right when Grunge metal was taking over even though their music is badass (in my opinion even better than the big bands like Anthrax and slayer) they formed at the worst time possible so their success was very limited in the US but was actually fairly popular overseas

One of the best thrash albums in the 90's, this masterpiece deserved a lot more attention as well as the Big Four. Btw guys, you should check Cyclone Temple "I Hate Therefore I Am" official t-shirt on Undying Music webstore. Also Greg Fulton has shared the post on his Facebook. I can't share the url link here, because YT will delete my comment immediately. Please check it out, guys, you're gonna love it! Brian Troch and John Slattery knows it too.

Man, something just tells me that Cyclone Temple showed up at the worst possible for thrash metal bands. If they released this album say, in 1987 this would've had much commercial appeal as bands like Metallica and Megadeth were killing it in the metal world. Yeah, they still were in the 90s but not for their thrash work. Maybe they could've toured with Pantera or Prong but it wouldn't have made any sense.

This isn't bad, I can't stand the vocals though. Too low, and macho. I like my thrash high and screeching like furies and trains coming to a screaming halt. Shit like that. But I'll repeat myself. This isn't bad. 3:05 sounds too much like Megadeth though.
