Cycling The Red Squirrel Trail On The Isle of Wight

A cycle ride along the 16 mile Red Squirrel Trail on the Isle of Wight. Which runs from West Cowes to Sandown and follows the old disused railway line across the island.

    This is close to home. You are a dab hand with a camera. You can now cycle on the other side of the river. Perhaps you did that to get a shot of the Paddle steamer.

    Not too sure whether I've cycled on the other side or not, I know I've cycled up the road! I'll have to check it out next time I'm over.

    :) good to hear. I'm thinking of doing a 2 day cycle trip from London to Shanklin, Isle of wight sometime this year. really looking forward to it

    That'll be good, I love the Isle of Wight and go over quite a few times in the year! If you cross over to the Island from Southampton you can then follow the Red Squirrel Trail all the way to Shanklin! What way are you going to come down from London?

    Thanks man this is the planned route, Day 1 > cycle.travel/map/journey/20532 Day 2 > cycle.travel/map/journey/43523 been trying to find new routes that I haven't cycled. And nice yeah looks like I'll be following the red squirrel :)
