We'll done, 70 miles in that terrain is awesome. Good to know a 40-46 got you up them climbs seated.

Thanks very much Simon. For me personally, I like to ride climbs seated, I feel more stable sitting down than when I get out of the saddle. Much kudos to those that manage to get up these climbs on a 32 or 30, 👏🏻 I don't know how they do it...

Well done for getting up Hardknott!. The Lakeland loop is a great route I think. Lots of stuff glows in the dark round there.

Great effort mate, well done! Were you riding a CGR or an Endurance? Just asking as I’ve got a CGR on order and have been wondering if I should take on hardknott after driving it last year. I’m taking this as a sign to give it a go.

Thanks very much for watching and commenting. My bike is a Gravel Ti Sport. It is designed to be strong for off-road touring with low gearing but isn't the lightest of bikes. I would say definitely give it a go on your CGR. Best of luck when you do it. Cheers, Dave...👍

When yer out wi' lads and have our Kate singing fae thi. Do this not take a cycle multi tool wi' thi lad? Slack nacker. My mate used to do security duty there at power station - nuclear stations have special security.

Hi Mark, yeah we had multi-tools, just no pliers on them to open the quick link. Luckily, I carry a few spare links so we cut the chain to length and used one of my spare links to join it. There was a sign on the perimeter fence at Sellafield saying that armed police patrolled the area. Thanks for watching the video and commenting. You cannot beat a bit of Kate Bush while you are cycling...🤣
