I still ache to be on a bike though I havent been able in about 30 years. When I could no longer walk well they told me to shop wheelchairs, and Id always wind up looking at Motobecane bicycles or cycling videos... lol. But back then- 60s,70s, 80s, 90s- in between normal use to and from work etc there were the insane death defying stunts, and the sweet long rides like yours. On long rides I always carried a bottle of water, a bag of oatmeal and a bit of dried sausage, and a few tools, and a raincoat/shelter folded up in the backpack. That way I could fix whatever went wrong with the bike, and if I got stuck 40 miles from home I had accomodations for the night, or a sudden storm etc. And carried a cable with lock around my shoulder. It helped for the quick stops if a pole or sign was near, and it helped when I got attacked by dogs etc. But the ride here was why one does all those kind of things. Refreshing, lovely, thank you

Michael Hernandez I too miss bicycling, these days I would need a tricycle. When I was working in good weather I would ride my bike to work and on weekends I would ride into downtown St. Louis.

Wish I could ride a bike again, but at last, I am too old and bedridden because of ruined legs. So I watch these super vlogs of cycling. This is one of the best I have seen. And it is the first one from NY. Keep them coming.

Excellent video footage. I watched this adventurist tour in its entirety, very exciting seeing my neighborhood of Brooklyn's Gowanus/ Park Slope area in a different view leading into my favorite hang out " Coney Island". Amazing how I didn't hear any fatigue of the narrator in such a long journey. very well done, in fact it was exciting as well as relaxing. it sort took away some depression in this Pandemic life we have today. Thank You for the enjoyment you just gave me. Just Loved it 👍👌😊💖

Young man, you are PHENOMENAL!!!!! I'm blown away!!! Regarding the garbage on the ground, I share your sentiments. The garbage was very disturbing. It reflects the minds of the visitors. This plannedemic has affected so many people, leaving them uncaring about their environment. As for the garbage cans being over thrown, I suggest the perpetrators were possibly Raccoons. 😁 I just love your videos!!!

Cropsey Avenue was named after a family that settled that part of Brooklyn in the 1600's. There are still family members with that name who own land in Brooklyn, such as water rights over part of New York Harbor near Bay Parkway. You passed about a half block from Totonno's 1524 Neptune Ave Brooklyn, NY 11224. One of the best pizzerias any where. They started in the 1920's.

The ticking was most likely your bottom bracket.. I replaced one on my old Kilo TT (oddly enough) years ago.. the stock ones were cheap and eventually wear out and have to be replaced. Mine lasted about a year I think. It takes a couple of bicycle specific tools and probably 30 mins to replace. Smooth ever since :)

If you like cycling you should really visit The Netherlands if you have the chance. There are dedicated bike lanes everywhere, special traffic lights, bike lane bridges and so on. There are even dedicated bike lanes between cities (The Netherlands isnt that large). In Amsterdam we even have entire bike streets, where cars are considered "guests" and should always yield to cyclists. Since the country is famously almost completely flat its very well suited for cycling and for example 38% of all journeys in Amsterdam are by bike.
