Cycling across Portugal - Porto to Faro
What a ride it was. In this video I share my 7 day bikepacking trip across Portugal. I cycled circa 720km (447 miles) mainly along the coast, from Porto to Faro. The shots are taken with GoPro 12 and drone DJI Air 2S.

Beautiful! Loved to shot of you jumping in the pool! Your drone work is fantastic, glad you had good weather to film those coastal shots. We hiked the Rota Vicentina last year, you did justice to the beauty of the coastline!

Fantastic video. Loved the calm and relaxing view. We have done the part from Lisbon to Albufeira as well last year. Love Portugal. Next time we will be doing the Porto to Lisbon track. Congratulations for the great video

This is some of the highest quality footage of a bike ride that I have ever scene. Nice captures and great editing. Makes me long for Portugal. Can you tell us which day was your favorite? Looks to me like it might have been day 1 or day 7.

Hi Bob, it's very hard to choose one day. I think day 2 was pretty special with a quiet stretch of road, collapsed bridge :D , and really nice coastal views. There were definitely no bad days :) . All the best!

I need to explore inland next time 😉 I've used 2 products from Amazon UK: 1) Action Camera Selfie Stick - amzn.to/3UeTkR5 2) Super Clamp Mount - amzn.to/3W23Jk6 One useful feature on GoPro was Horizon Lock; even when the camera was not perfectly horizontal (tricky to do while cycling) I was always getting nicely leveled footage. Saved me many times. Hope it helps!

Superb video!And thanks for share your strava. I was actually looking for routes to do in Portugal! Overall, would you say that traffic wise, was it ok? Or did you have to deal with a lot of highways in between?

Very low traffic. You will see on Day 2 a really cool stretch of pretty much empty road (with a collapsed bridge). Overall, small amount of traffic compared to other countries I have cycled. No need to get on highways although I did get 20-40km on a highway but it was unnecessary. Hope it helps!
