Great video. I'm curious how much time you spend each day capturing the video content vs time actually riding. It looks like most video shots require you to stop riding, set up the camera , back on the bike, then back to collect the camera. Is there ever a sense of urgency to ride rather than capture content?

Great adventure and filming. Having survived a simple crash only by wearing a helmet, I would ask you consider always wearing yours while riding... and find a way on your adventures to film without having to ride one handed. Good Luck!

More risk of head injury being in a vehicle or a pedestrian and yet we don’t force helmets on those. Why? Compulsory car helmets and walking helmet, if we want to use real evidence on the activities that have significant head injury risk far greater than cycling.

@@bikepackingadventure7913 firstly, my comment was simply in the sense of using my own experience to offer a suggestion to a young man facing more hazard in his excellent adventure than any road cyclist . second, your statement about relative risk is nonsense and not borne out by any studies I have seen or by my experience: I cycled 17 years in London traffic and never once did I feel more safe than the pedestrians and car drivers.. Finally no-one is forcing helmets on anyone, but anyone who realises the risk and weighs dubious "freedom" against it will make that choice.

There are actually very few who wear helmets in The Netherlands. I personally do wear one, but if it was a serious crash I very much doubt that a few cms of polystyrene will make much of a difference.

@@moi7748 the reason I don't talk.and eat through a straw, or worse is the few cms of polystyrene between my head and the edge of the kerb when hit by a red light running car. Well that's what the ED doctor said... So maybe you know better.....

Great project, great video. I tried making a contribution to your school project, but you didn't make it easy to donate internationally, in my case from Norway. If you add PayPal to your payment alternatives, I think your fundraising would benefit. Anyway, good luck with your trip and fundraising!

No, Koen is on a solo trip around the world. Sometimes accompagnied by a friend but he does all the filming, editing etc all by himself. Impressive! And yes, he also has a drone in his luggage.
