14:10 There's a recent issue of the Flash where Wally West is stuck in the speed force and gets sent through time into Reverse Flash's body. He has to get Lex Luthor to tell him something so he just dummy smacks him like a super speed version of the Three Stooges and Lex folds.

Oh Matt McMuscles here a next What Happened video the game is called Ecco The Dolphin video game. I saw the review channel on SomecallmeJohnny on Ecco the Dolphin because he didn't like game that doesn't control good. So good luck.

I find it funny how Matt is able to identify best em up references in the background but struggles with even popular DC characters like Kiteman.

Manchester Black is a character created as a response to the popularity of the edgy comicbook series the Authority in the early 2000s, and thats a tale for another time.

As much as I know about Marvel, I know just about DC, so here we go!: - The clips in the beginning are from Justice League War, the first DC Animated Movie Universe (Which ended with Apokolips War). - Kite-Man is Silver AGE Batman villain, so he's ridiculous. Kite-Man is famous for being so dumb, being named Charles "Chuck" Brown (Yes, Charlie Brown, it was in purpose), employing criminal Eel O'Brien, the man who in his gang, would accidentally become the hero Plastic Man, being in Tom King's Batman run (dude loves him), and if course Harley Quinn. - Wasn't expecting that Matilda clip, but I appreciate it, because I know that line by heart. (Danny is writing his own Penguin comic, because he's the man!) - Every Flash, for the most part, will disarm his villains (since he's on a friendly basis with most if them), but if your tough, he'll lay you out. - I was actually a big fan of Injustice 2's Bane, Because he looks and acts more like normal Bane, than big monster mash Bane. - Red Tornado is a machine that can create tornadoes, he's been in the shows like Justice League, Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, and was just awful in Supergirl. (He's kinda like Vision, with air powers, and Air Nomad symbols from Avatar) - Vixen is JL hero with a magic totem which gives her the ability to call upon the skill of any animal she chooses. (Cheetah, superspeed. Elephant, super strength, eagle, flight, a fish, breathing underwater.) - Doctor Polaris is just that, a lamer Magneto. - All CW shows are pretty awful, Black Lightning is alright in comparison, but like all CW shows, they don't have the budget for their properties. Superman and Lois and Stargirl weren't originally CW shows, so they don't really feel or look like it, but Superman and Lois is my favorite thing on there, it's that good. - Reverse Flash is just a evil Flash, and has more knowledge about how to use his speed powers compared to Flash, he's about a few centuries in future, and hated the Flash legacy so much, he tries to ruin his entire life existence, from the grandest of ways (killing Barry's mother), to most pettiest of ways (pushing child Barry Allen down the stairs to break his arm) because AIN'T WAS ME BARRY! - Visor Superman is "The Eradicator", a Kryptonian AI construct only designed to protect and carry out the will of the Kryptonian if it's ever injured and needs supplies for their Kryptonian Fortress. - Manchester Black is telepath/telekinetic agent of the team called, "The Elite" (There's a while movie about them called "Superman vs. The Elite", Robin Atkin Downes voices Manchester.) The Elite are essentially heroes... But they kill, and if anyone is in there way, they kill them too. - Was hoping for that Robot Chicken Lex Luger sketch lol - General Eieling (pronounced "I-ling") is general who hates Superpowerd people, but turns himself into a hulking monster... Ironic lol - Funny thing about Guardian, he's a good fighter with a shield, like a not powered Captain America... Because he was created by the same iconic duo of Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. - Oh yeah movie Doomsday, aka, Cave Troll Zod. And that's it! I'm sorry for another long info dump comment, but would live to see more so I can do this again lol

I used to love the Justice League cartoon back in the day and a few years ago I watched it all again. Reading you comment, I’m remembering all these heroes and villains like General Eieling had his own episode. I also read the Death of Superman not too long ago and remember the Eradicator, one of the various Super Men that appeared after Clark’s death. Steel was my favorite one and the Cyborg Superman had the coolest design. I don’t care if it’s just a Terminator rip off, I thought it was awesome and even more when they included him in Injustice 1. I should really go back to reading my comics. It’s been a long time since I’ve read one.

Black Lightning also didn’t start out as a CW show, which is why it has a different, grittier feel compared to other shows in the channel.

Kite Man is indeed real (hell yeah), and despite popular belief, there are more dumb silver age villains. Also Red Tornado is pretty cool, his Marvel equivalent would probably be Vision but DC generally doesn’t like him as much as Marvel likes Vision.

I feel like in some ways, Martian Manhunter is more DC's Vision, but yeah, there are certainly similarities.

@@Arrowdodger in a way, DC definitely pushes him more the way Marvel pushes Vision. Plus they’re both the intellectual of their teams. Characters wise I’d still go with Red Tornado. Both are red androids created in 1968 by villains to destroy a team they inevitably join. They also both eventually experience human emotions and fall in love with a human woman.

Oh Kite man, the golden ages.... there plenty of D tier villains that later become at least B -tier. Heck Polka-Dot Man I think became a B -tier from the latest movie. You know what Lex's greatest crime was tho right? stealing 40 cakes.

The background IS from Separation Anxiety! And, while I don't know where the sprite for Kite Man is from, I know that his animations remind me of "Jet" from Streets of Rage 2 (the bullshit flying boss from the bridge level).

That what we need later on a Robocop vs Terminator vs Predator Vs Aliens OpenBOR game. I mean they did made odd cross over comics of them.

The scrolling from the driving level against vehicles is definitely from Sunsoft's Batman on the Genesis, and some of the enemy sprites seem altered versions from that same game. The Batmobile in that level doesn't seem from there, though. Such great memories ^^

As far as the CW DC shows, I have also never seen the Black Lightning show so I can't tell you, but the first 2 seasons of Supergirl are solid and all of Legends of Tomorrow is an absolute blast.

Reverse Flash: Evil Flash, but has different speed powers like making someone age into dust and things like that. Created the Cosmic Treadmill.

Red Tornado: Air elemental spirit in robot body. Because comic books. Vixen: Can mimic the powers of any animal.

Having seen like EVERY Arrowverse show up to 2020 or so, I'd have to say they are, overall, pretty alright. About half of them are worth watching, at least. I have a ranked chart! I'd say watch at least the first two seasons of Arrow and if it hooks you, I can offer suggestions from there. Or if you just want to go silly, Legends of Tomorrow starting Season 2.

You need to revisit this game. There's been a lot of crossover characters added to the roster. Plus they fixed Batman's gliding sprites, against your wishes.

I prefer Kite Man where he has a stupid theme but is oddly competent. In his classic stories he had a higher death count than most of Joker's stories at the time. Dude just sprayed entire extravagant parties with nerve gas then looted the corpses.

I think that Bane sprite is from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. That is one of the few good Bane designs. General Eiling is spelled wrong, but it led to Matt pronouncing it right (unlike most DC media besides Young Justice), so I’ll allow it. Black Lightning is pretty good and it has distinct storytelling and vibe because it didn’t start out as a CW show. It doesn’t try to push its limits on CGI often and is more grounded (heh). A lot of people ignore it, though. Season 4 was a rushed mess, though.

Arrow is actually pretty good overall. Had it's downs but the first 2 seasons are great and it starts to get it back in season 5. Flash took a huge dip after season 1 and after season 2 never felt the same. Legends is fun because it's alot of wacky off shoot ideas that usually wouldnt make the cut. Everything else is not worth mentioning.

you could do that! There's the Wildcats and Spawn, and Shadowhawk games you could use for a basis for a lot of sprites. Then you just edit others to make characters from Youngblood, Pitt, The Maxx, etc.

Yo that game is awesome for Co-op. Janky? Definitely. But I played through it with my girlfriend and separately with another friend, and had a great time both times.
