i think this is a good example of stories that have a start and ending. Writing stories without having to leave them open ended for an indefinite number seasons can sometimes be incredibly strong.

I just finished it and came searching for this song. I’ve had this unexplainable feeling since it finished. I’ve only felt like this with naruto and yuri on ice. Like is this is? It really ends here? This ending reminds of akame ga kill and alita the battle angle. Like everyone dies and they still didn’t kill the final boss. Is a second season even worth it though. Everyone’s gone.

It's way more depressing watching this anime after you finished the Cyberpunk 2077 game in a few playthroughs with different endings... ***SPOILER below for the game!!*** In the game, you will have a quest named (I really want to stay at your house) where your partner goes to your apartment to have a date with you repetitively before you proceed to the game's ending part. FYI, all of the different endings from the game lead to unhappy endings, I felt so empty after finishing the game and this anime, so much so that I was distancing myself from my gf and family members for weeks lmao

I think this song resonates with me so much because it evokes a sense of being wanted. It's been quite some time since I've felt that.

It sounds corny, but the pain is what reminds us that we're alive. That we can still connect to others, treasure them for the time we spend with them, and mourn them after they're gone. If you truly felt nothing, you're practically dead inside. A soulless husk, like Adam Smasher, existing but not truly living.

Sometimes I think about edge runners and can't believe that 12 episodes nearly a year later still resonate with me so much and it's amplified every single time I hear this song.

As someone who struggles with emotions and telling people how I truly feel, watching this anime and watching how the love grew between these two. my heart was ripped to shreds when I saw how it ended, I was like I'm happy with the ending but I was so fucking sad I cried so hard, and now I'm here for the last 5 days just playing this song on loop with no end in sight. I don't think can move on from this song and how much grip it has on me

When this show came out, I thought, "Oh, a video game show. I'll give it a try.", but, dude, I didn't expect it to make me smile, laugh, and cry so much and what's more it got anime of the year award and it definitely deserves it. I literally thank god for this video because it really helps whenever I'm going through a hard time and I would think, "Wow, David's a outcast at school and gets bullied and what's worse is he lost his Mom.", that's something a lot of people can relate to. I always feel better knowing I'm not alone after watching this video.

The name David means "my love" and "moon seeker" in Hebrew. The name Lucy means "Lux: light" in Latin. The moon doesn't produce light, it just reflects the sun's light. He look to the moon for light, but there is no light there. From the beginning, the two were destined to be separated. The scene in the movie where they were laughing happily together on the moon.

As soon as I hear this song my heart races... It's crazy how this anime had an impact in my head. ❤️

It’s Cyberpunk. The genre is typically f*cked up. I’m glad they stayed true to its source material as they could have easily gone down the route of everyone living happily ever after, so thank god they didn’t. Within the Cyberpunk genre, nothing is ever free and there is always a price for something you desire. Unfortunately for David, in order to keep Lucy’s dream of going to the moon alive, he sacrificed himself to Adam Smasher.

The night I watched the last episode of Edgerunners I was so emotionally moved that I was inspired to wright a whole song right there on the spot. I take it the person hasn’t played it, but just in case, imagine having played Cyberpunk 2077 and then wishing you would live in Night City. Heck, even the anime starts off with Cyberpsycho BD. 😂🤣🤡

Even Trauma Team can't save us from the feelings. This song makes me want someone really bad and breaks my heart every time, but it somehow gives me a strong sensation of hope. I can't turn it off, been listening it endlessly since last week, Im stuck with it now. Will rewatch the serie many times

its a shame that this anime wont get another season because where would the story go? and if they did make one there is no chance it would be better than the original

I don't know if it could top that crazy ending. But Night City like LA is a city of dreams and nightmares. There's always another solo that wants to climb their way to the top or at least die and become another legend that flew too close to the sun.

There’s something to be said for a series having a concrete ending and letting that stand. Night City has a bunch of stories that could be told, but I don’t know that I want them, let alone a direct sequel. We just have to carry that weight.

Easy. David died, fullfilling the dreams of everyone. Mom, reach the top of the tower. Mentor, metal out. Lucy, ...feel. So on, so on. In night city, it doesn't matter how you lived, but how you died. But Rebecca? Salvage, save, star as protaganist/false of next season.

I like the fact that this song was just one of those other songs that would play on the radio during the game whenever you were driving. Now whenever people are going to play this game and hear this song they're going to just cry their eyes out.
