Teaming up with Reed has better gameplay tho. You get to fight Kurt Hansen yourself, you get to fight MaxTac and then you get a really cool Alien Isolation style horror. If you side with So Mi, she betrays you anyway lol.

Didn't even have to romance her, honestly. Just hooking up with her and getting info, James Bond style, would've probably satisfied a lot of players.

If there should have been one night stand in the whole Phantom Liberty, it should have been Aurore. This was the moment I really felt like a James Bond, but James would get the girl at the end of the night.

Ngl. I was on the fence about who i should side with going into that quest. But how Reed and Alex did Aurore and Aymeric. Made my decision a whole lot easier

Yes, something that I found rather lacking in the main game was characters with anything more than superficial depth. I found most of the characters were kinda just exposition dumps. And I know, obviously, that's what all characters do in games etc to a point, but I found it wasn't always done in the most natural way. This scene felt really good though, it actually pulled me in!

Not really, I have seen this misconception a lot tbh. You get *different* iconics by siding with Song. You don't lose any. You basically trade Kurt's knifes for Reed pistol and the Blackwall ones for arguably one of the best cyberwear in the game for Sande and Berserk builds.
