Phantom Liberty and the Cyberpunk 2.0 patch offer a lot of new cyberware, quickhacks, vehicles, skills, and high-tier loot for you to play with. Here’s what you should know before entering Night City’s new area, Dogtown.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is an essential expansion earning a 10/10 on GameSpot. That means your new adventure with Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, and expert netrunner Songbird is going to be great. There is a ton to catch you up on with a new relic-based skill tree, changes or enhancements to cyberware such as monowire and mantis blades, and a new car combat system.
In this video, we’re going over how to start Phantom Liberty from the base game regardless of whether you’ve completed the main story or fired up a new playthrough. We’re covering how to navigate the new relic tree and what gear and skills to pair together for powerful builds. We’ll tell you how to immediately find high-tiered loot at emergency caches and around areas with powerful enemies marked with skull icons on the map. Then we’re jumping into tips for the new car combat system and how to buy cars that come with mounted weapons. We’ll touch on what items the new food vendors carry to give you permanent stat buffs, what you should know about the new clothing system, and what essential cyberware you should bring from the base game such as Reinforced Tendons in order to double jump. Finally, we’ll give you some suggestions on when and how to pursue gigs and side quests.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty releases on September 26, while the 2.0 update is out now. Phantom Liberty is only available for current-gen hardware like PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.

it is a very good game but still riddled with a good amount of bugs. and I dont mind bugs here and there it's a game so theres gonna be some and that's acceptable. but this game still has to many, really thats the only problem I have with the game.

@@jasongeyer2111Some bugs especially on console but none of the bugs ive found were breaking the game or making it unplayable just NPCs doing weird stuff and some graphics and physics stuff being weird

@@mitchconner2021I had a couple of crashes on my ps5 but for the rest i think that the game is great. I'm new to it and i am enjoying, level 21, but still don't know which build to choose.
I put in over 100hrs on my original play through i will continue with that and then do a brand new playthrough

I may just start a new character then, if you really think it's the best thing to do. Seems a shame to loose the progress on my existing V though, as I was only at level 26, anyway.

I started 2 days ago and am level 27. It's not too bad. I was level 50 and restarted cause I had no idea what was going on lol

Cant wait till midnight, really lovin 2.0, especially the ability to reset. I love my gorilla arms but I made a Lucy build and i dont think i can go back, monowire is crazy!😆 Also David's mural at the cemetery is very preme💙 given what Lucy says on it, the credits in the anime is her going to the moon alone😭😭

I always play a netrunner build so I use gorilla arms to help shore up my strength weakness a bit. But I'll probably switch to monowire at some point.

Hey could you guys have Johnathan react to the guns from Zombie Army 4? I’ve been playing it recently and I’m curious what he would say about the guns. Especially once they get attachments and the more outlandish guns like the preacher.
Juust got the Ps5 a month ago and restarted the game again. Haven't started Dogtown just yet. Beefing V up. Looks promising.
Does anyone know if you can go back and forth between PL missions and base game missions??

as soon as you done the first few PL missions, yes, PL takes place in the middle of the base cyberpunk questline

I always hate having to jump through hoops to play dlc so being able to do it with a new player with a level up is a plus.
are there any quests i should do in the main game that would change anything in the dlc? im talking side missions, gigs whatever

a lil late on this reply, but i've been reading that the best time to do this is when you're about halfway through act 2 of the main game. Then go through the DLC, and the dlc content will affect the main game. Not super crucial either way, but it helps
Stunt driving hitman, level 20 heavy cool and reflexes, some tech and body, minimum intelligence
Finally getting to play the DLC!! Had my series x stolen. Psyched 😊

Is it still possible to get locked out of Dogtown if you wait too long to complete a certain mission?
what to do after story end?
I’ve heard you have to at least complete the main quest “transmission” to unlock the DLC. Is that true?
Serious question, should I meet hanako at the ember first or play phantom liberty first? I dw to meet handsome first because I still have a few side mission yet to finish, but I really wan to explore dog town

Hy there! As a new player what you recommend to do first? should I start the base story or to skip to Phantom liberty? I just downloaded the game today so I dont know what to do :)) thanks a lot!

What do you mean tie any loose ends before meeting song bird? Are we not suppose to do it before finishing all the missions in the base game? I kinda wanted to have all the new cool stuff from the dlc to do my favorite quests

Think they are just getting at you’ll be stuck there when you first go in for a while before you can leave so if you want any particular loot or to finish something before going in do so first
hold on. You can disassemble clothes after acquiring them? I was putting them in my stash to make sure they would be in my wardrobe

I think they get saved to your wardrobe when you aquire so then you're free to disassemble them unless you want to "actually" wear them, if that makes sense
I’m lvl 20. Just picked it up day before yesterday. I was an unfortunate pre order on old gen that got the refund. Trying now that it’s “fixed” so far I’ve only had 3 crashes but very little to no bugs. I’m definitely enjoying it but idk if Phantom liberty is worth 30$ after I already paid 45 for the base game. Thanks in advance!
Does it matter if I start the expansion as soon as it becomes available or if I wait and begin it before the last base game mission? I mean, does it affect anything in base game or the other way around?

they recommend using SSD and raised the min specs. It actually runs better on my hardware than before tho

Yeah hardware requirements went up a bit but they’re exaggerated it seems, if you have an ssd and a newish cpu and the game was running okay before- it’ll run the same if not better except for in dog town from what I’ve seen
Will this work if I have the PS4 version of cyberpunk? I have a ps5 tho

The new content is NOT available on last gen systems . Phantom liberty is next gen only

I’m so dumb. I wish i watched this prior. I dont know if i can get the relic i felt pulsing in the hideout room for the pres and those other two.
Started 2.0 with my level 6 character. Going to get the dlc tomorrow and keep playing naturally. I’m going to try to ignore dogtown until I finish the original story. Thoughts?

It seems like the dlc story is something you’re supposed to start just before the final quest so you have the right plan

you have to play it along with the main story - or it is at least confirmed to affect the main story ending.

I think there's a new ending you can unlock if you play the expansion a certain way before the last mission. So might want to try that instead

The enemy scales with you now. Danger level on missions doesnt matter anymore.

I wish i knew that this DLC was for next gen only, im still waiting for my Series X due to Cyberpunk abandoning Last gen for no reason at all.

Oh really? I haven't bought the expansion. My save is just before the end mission? I've already finished the game so i have to make a new character for a new ending? Because I've romanced Panam

I wish I knew how small the map actually is before I spent $30. It's great, but I basically got 100% game completion my first playthrough and started all over. It's 20 dollars value, unless it's your first playthrough.
Here is one thing I wish I knew. That you cannot assign anything to AIM (ADS). You can assign a key but it does not work. $60 down the drain.

You can reset your skill points at will but perk points are only available to reset ONCE from my understanding
Relic points can be refunded so no reason to overthink upgrades. Experiment away
Ive learned nothing. The DLC is great

Doesn’t it defeat the purpose of buying this dlc when I can just see streamers play it before everyone. I mean it is a first player game not a multiplayer so I wouldn’t miss anything if I could just see the content before official release.

Literally true of 90% of games released now days . Deciding to watch content before you play it is ENTIRELY your choice. If you get the same satisfaction of playing a game by watching it be played then that’s on you. I think that’s ridiculous but it’s still a personal choice …….
