@@n1c3s43 that honestly depends on where you send him I never saw him after i sent him off properly it was super sad knowing who missed him his whole family some of the valentino's viktor his mother AND misty plus getting to know who he was by searching his room it was truly endearing and one of the BEST MOMENTS and eye opening HEY he died but he was never truly forgotten not by me not by misty and CERTAINLY not by his family the ofrenda was truly one of the saddest quests because saying goodbye is always hard but moving on is what you do how you change for the better or the worse. :How you finish the ofrenda is pretty deep you can put his mementos next to his ashes but the best one was for whom the bell tolls. As dark as this game is there are some really good things too that make it worth playing through again. People forget the little things in life or forget that the smallest changes can definitely make a HUGE difference to the story. Not having jackie at the end is heart wrenching but sending him a proper goodbye as opposed to having a part of his soul stolen by arasaka to fuck with you is NOT what i envision to be a good ending. Everybody deserves their ending nobody should ever have their soul or personality taken away to be used for nefarious reasons. For me its not about the ending but how you get there that truly matters.

All of us every man, every woman, every boy and girl on this planet has once been depressed and felt alone. It isn't something wrong that causes us to be depressed and alone. It is nothing wrong in fact, because feeling depressed and alone is all part of being human. You are never alone @EpicTheGreat , never were and never will be. There's others out there who will genuinely care and strive to make this world a better place to live. Never give up brother, giving up is for losers never do that. I believe in you and I believe you will one day get rid of depression and loneliness. We are in this together, let's fight together brother :)

I feel the same emotions, and honestly after listening the entire soundratck from this game, every single song (ok, maybe except Never fade away) brought me strong and unique emotions that I haven't felt for like couple of years, especially this song. For me, music and graphics are enough, for the rest - I don't really care, bugs - exist in games, they aren't anything new and major concern to the world, because the exist is most games, oh and textures loading - that's a one of two meh things in the game, second is the frame rate in the Pacific, Vista del Rey and quite often in Watson. Back to the song and stuff - it gave my ears pleasure and happiness when I was doing the Panam romance quest. This track suits perfectly in her relationship with V after all things he did for her and for the peace in the Aldecaldos family. Could listen it every second in my life.

There are far deeper issues with this game other than technical bugs or performance. The balance of stats vs combat and the economy are screwed, some perks are useless, crafting is a mess, the UI is clunky, and QoL features from the Witcher 3 (a game they've already made recently) are missing here. Driving is frustrating, stealth is amusing, AI is a joke and NPCs (namely different gangs) dont react differently to your actions regarding them. If you do not go hunting for quest markers, there seems to absolutely nothing to do in the game other than driving around and using photo mode. Ultimately it is an action adventure game with mild RPG elements rather than an RPG game with mild action adventure, which is thoroughly disappointing to many. It is a GOOD game, but not THE BEST game of this year. It needs some major DLC on top of bug fixes in order to be top tier. I really hope CDPR do that.

For me, CP2077 just joined the "Pantheon of Feel" with Witcher 3 and Mass Effect. Never I would expect a game in this decade to give me the feels I've got with these two trilogies. But Cyberpunk was like a fuckin truck crashing right into my heart/mind. Overall, Witcher 3 seems overall thanks to a more homogenous "game/mechanics" as it doesn't get the huge flaws of CP2077 but a several moment the emotion in CP2077 surpass the one of Witcher 3. Witcher 3 is an episode of a wonderful tale. An incredible episode, but still just a fraction of Geralt story. Geralt has life before, during and after W3. Before the game we "knew" already Triss, Yen, Ciri, Zoltan, Jaskier/Dandelion, Vesemir, Lambert, Eskel, ...thanks to W1-W2 and the books. Story of CP 2077 is just a journey. It tells you the born, the life and the "end" of V's life. How he met people, how he lost them. How he came with dreams and hope, how he lost everything, and how he want to end his life. This is way superior to Witcher 3 to me 'cause all of this emotion we dense. You care more about Judy, Panam, Johnny, ... 'cause you lived all the relation with them, from the beginning to the end. It's not just another "story moment" between Geralt and Triss, Geralt and Yen or whatever, it's your whole damned story. And seeing all of them leaving you a voicemail at the end...Damn, I dropped a tears at this moment and NO videogame EVER managed to do that to me before. It's a shame that many people won't feel/see that 'cause they will be focused on this "this is not better than GTA V" expectation. This game never aim to beat GTAV, Deus Ex or any FPS game on their mechanics. They just aim to deliver a good CDPR game and, in my opinion, they definitely suceed !

@@Squall895 Beautifully written! It's exactly what I think and feel about this game. After 10 minutes I was so immersed in this game that I couldn't believe it. I needed like 3 days to process what just happend. Incredible story telling, soo many great characters, so much depth and complexity. I felt like I was really making friends and enemies. I romanced Judy. My god did that romance feel real. For a video game of course. In the end I really knew why this city is called Night City. There's just no light in it. No matter how happy the moment was, how friendly it felt, there was always this dark veil surrounding you. And although I had the best ending (imo ofc - leaving NC with Judy and Aldecaldos) the game left me with emptiness. I didn't feel happy or relieved. My heart was broken. And then the credits started to roll and the voice messages came up. I just couldn't bear it any more. It hit right in my heart and soul. I cried like a baby - what I normally don't do in video games. What this game did to me was insane. I became so emotionally attached to this world and it's characters it's unbelievable. What game man... what a game. This is definetely a new standard in story telling. My god dude :D And yo're so right about this GTA bs. And it's sooo sad that so many will never experience what you and I did - and so many more. That's almost depressing :(

Perfect track to make you feel at home with Panam, leaving Night City and all the shit you went through behind, but also knowing you only have so much time left to experience what it's like on the outside of that meat grinder. Don't care what anyone says, Cyberpunk is fucking amazing.

  • @skepticalviking

Say what you will about the game's issues, the storytelling in Cyberpunk is stellar. Not many games are able to connect with it's audience on an emotional level quite like this. That feeling of escaping the suffocation of Night City, truly letting go of everything to live free with Panam and your new family is defined by this soundtrack - and it is utterly sublime.

Dude I personally loved all the side character quests, Judy for me was my favorite just because it shows she really cares. Hell once you do them all, all the side characters actually show care. Judy felt extremely passionate, River felt very hopeful to make V a part of his family and the same with Panam. Kerry’s story felt like he got to have closure with Johnny’s passing but I never did the romance with him. Still overall I enjoyed the fuck out of all of them and I hope future DLC brings more relationships in with story writing like that. Or at least expand on the relationships you make with people

When I first heard this version, I truly fell in love with this game. Something about the writing of dialogue, the moment of intimacy you felt with Saul and Panam, risking your lives to save Saul. The cheer to Haboobs. It engrossed me. When the ending came through with this, seeing the vast expanse and V letting go of the past. I fucking lost it. I had been so bottled up emotionally the last 4 years from an abusive relationship, and for the first time in years, I just felt the euphoric rush of really FEELING a happy ending. This game's story was genuinely therapeutic for me. I wish the writers and devs weren't rushed. It could be 10 more years and this game would have been worth the wait

Spoilers: I assume most of us are here because we chose the Nomad ending. But curious... anyone else notice the voicemail from Vik during the credits that implies the Aldecaldo's may have actually found something to prevent V from dying so soon? Not sure if everyone's voicemails were the same as mine but this made me wonder: "Don't forget to get yourself a checkup every once and awhile. Any dust or dirt gets under that insulation, you're done." So, basically V now has some sort of "insulation" installed in his body and he has to be careful, disrupting it could be fatal. Why else would V have something so risky installed if not to cure his terminal condition? Also, I can't imagine the writers would add something like this into Vik's last few lines if it was just meaningless chat. As a bonus, Misty's voicemail says: "Looks like you've got a good life ahead of you, out in the Badlands." Surely, it'd be a bit odd saying something like this to someone you know only has a few months left to live? It isn't proof, of course. But the implication gave me hope. Especially after choosing to be with Panam :D

Panam and V said that they want to meet every contact they have who could possibly help. And after what Misty said, I think that they succeeded, at least that is what I want to believe. V deserves a happy ending more than anyone, and this might be it.

I don't think so. The insulation he's talking about is for the cyberware she has equipped. Vik is a Night City dweller, so the nomadic lifestyle isnt probably something he considers nice. Panam saving V is a long shot and her promise sounded more like a cope than anything else. Pretty much the rest of the US is a third world country in universe, and both the best of Night City (Alt) and the best corpo (Arasaka) in that field couldn't do anything but extend her lifespan by six months. The Nomad ending isn't supposed to be the most helpful, it is supposed the healthiest. Cyberpunk 2077 is about how Night City brings death (or worse, in the case of Peralez) to those who think they can get something from it. Night City killed both you and Jackie Welles. The whole arc with Johnny is about showing who you aspire to be, a "legend", is nothing more than a narcissistic caricature of what you and Jackie were. Even Johnny himself realizes it in his ending, hence him leaving. The Nomad ending is about rejecting Night City and its symbols, and build new, healthier ones far away from that toxic heap. Then again its fucking retarded because the Nomadic lifestyle is crap and you still have to deal with the fucking shiv and you have a literal fucking MILITECH tank and they're not going to let you get away with it but hey you die in 6 months anyway
