Recently started playing again. Didn’t even know the sandy was in the fuckin game cuz of how shit it was before. Now I run around at the speed of sound with nothing but a katana and my bare fucking (gorilla) hands. And Rebecca’s shotgun for emergencies. I highly recommend hard mode if you haven’t played yet. Makes the power fantasy so much better. One mistake and you flatline tho.

Feel bad killing Valentinos since that was Jackie’s gang but this slaps too hard

@@cybronikai1957 In Valentino tradition dying while doing a job or defending your family and choombas makes you a saint and the gang will spray a big graffiti in the area as a form of respect and remembering the chads that used to live amongst them. It's one of the highest forms of respect a Valentino can earn by my knowledge.

- Get a job from fixer to sneak into a place and retrieve sensitive documents - The documents are guarded by Valentinos - Stealth the entire thing flawlessly - "Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Client's happy, I'm happy. Wiring you your eddies now". - Receive payment - Immediately go back to the mission zone and slaughter everyone just for the music Yeah. We happy.

Doing your first Gig in Valentino territory and then hearing this and finding out that they all have a red skull above them really gives you the „I'm fucked” feeling.

I forget which mission but you have to go into a club and retrieve a certain item. I was blasting through everything until this mission. I tried guns blazing and got dropped so hard lmao; hadn't needed to go stealth mode at all till this moment.

I'm currently working on clearing all the scanner hustles and gigs, and accidentally crossed the Westbrook-Heywood border while doing so. My usual M.O. is crashing my car into the enemies, jumping out into cover and mowing them down. Well, this time I jumped out and heard the part at 7:45 starting. When I’m hearing this, I can see half-cybernetic Hispanic dudes and chicks in lowriders (the beat/bass helps), flashing jewellery and guns, while staying close together, emoting this strong “you don’t wanna fuck with us” feeling. The theme perfectly “describes” the Valentinos. It’s the same feeling you get when roaming around The Haywood alleys low-level on Very Hard difficulty. You don’t wanna be there. Brilliant theme!

This is exactly what this song tells and why its perfect. Good catch man.

Even with the heavy synth and distortion it keeps elements of traditional latin rhythm. The off beat claps are similar to the traditional clave' pattern in latin music while hi-hat pattern in the background play what sounds like a ca'scara pattern. There's almost always a version of these two rhythms in latin music, and it works so well here keeping that traditional flavor within a dystopian futuristic setting. This song being a corrupt mockery of the purity of traditional latin music is symbolic of the corrupting factor of this horrific environment on the peoples within it; a Hispanic cybernetic terminator with a vestigial sense of culture out for blood. They have become the Chupacabra.

Sounds like something I would hear at a quinceanera in about 56 years...

A time where they start to mature. Now quinceaneras are about partying more than tradition. Therefore, the music would tie into one of these parties in the year 2077! Always enjoying the music from this game :D

well, the in-game music is dynamic... it transitions between the various sections seamlessly depending on what you do, all while staying in tempo. so there are no definite versions of any of the music, really.

Hispanic music comes partly from Spain. And Spain had been occupied by arabic "moros" for a long period. So, that's why it can sound middle eastern sometimes as spanish music was influenced by it. Valentinos are a late game enemies. You can fight them earlier but it will be a lot harder.

The combat theme sounds straight out of Hotline Miami. Which, IMHO, is a compliment.

When you play and this theme kicks with fight. Waaaaa! I love it...

This is so fucking fun to have in the background when you fight. Marcin is a godsend when it comes to combat ost's dude

This is the song that Jackie’s enemies heard before he killed them

Using the secret sword technique I never get to hear this song for more than 5 seconds after I got a katana and the ability to slow time
