after the dino line, he straight up says the "yank the memory chip out of your skull" line. the "simmer down" option doesn't appear at all

I don't know, but in some of the other target interactions, if enemies are on alert, the target will immediately go into combat mode. Taking out the worker upstairs can put them on alert, which is why I hide him. Maybe try that?
