Cwmcarn Cafall Trail - Seriously Awesome!
Yes oh yes. Cwmcarn at last. It's been far too long. In this edit I'll be riding the Cafall trail only, and showing you all the best bits of this Welsh Gem. Cafall is the easier of the 2 main trails at Cwmcarn. Don't get me wrong, so some it could be insane. That said you can certainly work your way through it easily enough.
Parking at Cwncarn places you right at the trail head for both the Cafall and Twrch trails. Like most trails in Wales, it's hard work to get to the top of that well earned descent. in our group, 3 of us on regular MTBs and 2 on e-bikes breezing it. LOL.
We couldn't have picked a better weekend for it. The weather was literally perfect and that makes all the difference when riding here. More enjoyable lets say.
The descents at Cwmcarn as so worth the effort. The views are outstanding, and the sense of achievement when you make it to the top is first class. You'll see.
Trying to take in those views at your top riding speed down Cafall is a different story. That you'll also understand when you ride there. Any viewers, enjoy.

did not know the trails where i lived where so popular? loved? idk but ya get what im trying to say. tho i guess mabey i should have thought of that when sam pilgrim came up here
Great video…..I live only about a 15 minute pedal away from this trail…and only 25 mins from BPW, which I’m yet to try)I’m so lucky! It’s become my regular playground after retiring early at 55 this last summer….I got an ebike to make the ascents more palatable, and then very quickly upgraded from a cube reaction hardtail to a giant reign full sus. I took a rather heavy fall off pedalhounds just before Christmas though and it’s meant I’ve been laid up for the last few weeks nursing a sore shoulder,ribs, knee, neck and back…(I never do things by half). Even though this was at low speed off, it made me realise the importance of proper gear(having severely dented my relatively cheap open face helmet) …since then, I’ve invested in a full face , as a couple of friends have damaged their faces and also lost teeth up there, plus some much needed armour as being unable to ride over Christmas has really been a frustration and somewhat painful! All the new gear has been sat there waiting for my healing to complete ! Let’s hope it doesn’t take to long before I’m back on the trails and able to rebuild my confidence as even a minor spill like mine which resulted in non hospitalisation certainly knocks it! I look forward to seeing ,any more of your videos!

I happen to have rode this yesterday as part of a 3 day trip to FoD, Cwmcarn and Flyup 417 and totally agree, the climb is pretty long but that downhill makes it all worth it!
