I have two of their unstructured tote bags (black and cognac). I did purchase their insert which makes up for the black-hole syndrome when I'm traveling. In terms of everything flying out, you can just put a fluffy scarf on top of your stuff it that's a concern and pouches for your everything. No makeup will go flying. You can also hook the straps around the headrest of the passenger seat - then it'll take a nice drive with you. :)

I have the classic tote by Cuyana in the color stone with zero staining issues and I've used it daily for over a year. Maybe the structured tote is more likely to stain. Just wanted to mention that in case there was someone interested in their classic tote (I prefer the softer, less structured leather). They offer free shipping all the time which is a bonus with few store fronts. Thank you for the video!

yep, I totally agree with you regarding the insert. If it was like 50 or 60 dollar, I would get it. It took me three weeks to finally get the insert because of the price.

Great review! I own two Cuyana structured totes and I love it. Also thank you for comparing it in size with Neverfulls. I'm thinking about buying a Neverfull, but couldn't decide on the size. I was wondering how do they compare to my Cuyana. If you look at the dimension information on websites, Neverfull GM sounds smaller than Cuyana. Thanks for giving me a perspective that Cuyana fits somewhere between GM and MM. I couldn't find this information anywhere else!

Doe the organisers work for LV never full bag if so what size?

I’ve been toting (haha) this to work and have sadly decided to sell both my black and stone totes. The only pro it had for me was that they were beautiful and well made bags, but the cons were stacked up 1. no security, 2. heavy when filled, 3. bottomless pit unless you invest in the insert, which makes it even heavier, and 4. it was just too big for my frame. I’m 5’4 and it still overwhelmed me. 🙁

Hi sweets, when using this as your work bag, do you organize as your purse and then add your laptop, planner, mug, etc in with your purse items? Or do you carry a smaller bag inside of this one with all your work supplies? Or, do you carry this with work items and then a second regular size purse? When do you wear your luxury totes if this is your work/purse bag? I am getting ready to order it, but would be using this as my official purse while keeping my backpack as my work bag. I go to work looking like a bag lady! Haha

KME great questions! When i take my Cuyana tote to work it’s my only bag. BUT i have the tote organizer. It’s how i manage to fit my laptop in and keep all my personal effects organized. I change purses pretty frequently which is how i wear the rest Of my bags.

Hi! Truthfully, I totally get the concern (I've been pickpocketed and mugged in San Francisco), but I haven't felt a lack of security with this bag. It's pretty narrow, so even slung over your shoulder it's not really that easy to just stick a hand into. I also usually get a seat on the bus so often have it in my lap. I get it - it's a valid concern. They do make a zippered tote! Just unfortunately isn't as structured. As for monogram I THINK mine is the small? It's pretty tiny.

Hi Kelsey! Just came across your video (after purchasing the cuyana structured tote in burgundy) and I love how honest you are. I was toying with spending the extra $95 on the insert as I live in London and shipping costs another $56 ish but decided to purchase as I have an everlane and I can never find anything in it. All of my totes are currently black but I saw a picture of someone carrying a burgundy with blush interior and loved it so purchased that colour - is there a particular brand of leather protector I should spray on the outside? Can I use what I spray on my leather/suede boots?

Really enjoying your content Kelsey. Now you have the Neverfull GM too, I am wondering how you feel about the size of each. Cuyana being bigger, for for some reason it does't appear as big on you. Is it because you can cinch it in? The size is putting me off a little, but I feel the small tote is too small. Still undecided after watching that review 4 times now. At leat I'm getting your viewing hours up.

Hi! Thanks for your kind words! Tbh I've never really felt any big bag was "too big" for me, from the Neverfull GM to the Cuyana Large Structured Tote. It may be because my height is small, but my frame isn't? Not sure - but I always pick FUNCTION over look either way. Too much stuff to haul around! I will say the Cuyana feels much smaller than the Neverfull GM. I use Cuyana more day to day and break out the GM when I have LOADS to carry.

Claudia Sugita hi hi! Okay SO the new leather is almost like a saffiano leather if you’re familiar with that. More durable even in lighter colors. I prefer pebbled because i just prefer that more “natural” leather look but i think truly it just comes down to preference.

Does the leather soften and get less stiff over time? Your taupe bag's shape seems softer than the black one. Just curious how this bag wears over time. The website makes this model look very stiff and inflexible. Very informative video, thank you!

khl great question! You’re right the taupe does sink more than my black one. It does soften a bit over time, but never to the extent of their original tote. It’ll always have slightly more structure. I also keep my black one stuffed with the organizer most of the time so i wonder if that helps it keep its structure.

It's from frasier sterling but I don't recommend - didn't hold its gold color and ultimately had to toss within a couple months.

funnybunny not that this is super helpful - but truthfully it’s neither here nor there. It’s not as lightweight as their classic tote is (because this is like lined/fused and has more structure) but it’s not like HEAVY. Without the organizer I’d say it’s fairly lightweight. Organizer adds a little extra.

Does the light insert stain at all? I am wanting to purchase the Carmel tote with and insert but I’m not sure if I should purchase the brown one or blush one

Hmmm is there like a SCHMEDIUM answer to this lol because yes and no. Like YES - I did spill an entire carton of raspberries into my tote and my light pink insert does have a red stain on it now. But like just day to day stuff - not really. Because it's leather, it doesn't stain like say a felt or fabric one would.
