Cutting X-LS Encore Speakers on CNC Router
My very first KZread video. I slogged through...
Cutting out GR Research X-LS Encore speaker cabinets on ShopSabre Pro 408. Also my first time doing that! Panel being cut is West Fraser Ranger Board Platinum, a high density MDF.
In an effort to make this a little more watchable I edited the original to add music over the noisy parts and adjust sound levels. Learning as I go!
If you'd like to give the flat pack a go, email me at carbidewing@gmail.com
Speaker cabinets are GR Research X-LS Encores. I'm a long time customer and highly recommend them.

Thanks for the video! I'm one of the rare people that would rather listen to the machine. You have an awesome shop!
I've always wondered how this was done. Thanks for making a video of this process.
Can’t wait to get mine. But right now I just ordered the X-Statik kit by GR-Research in the mail will be delivered in three days.
Beautiful!
Me gusta tu taller lo tienes ordenado y limpio , 👍🏼💯
What a shop!
Enjoy your videos, was thinking about getting one of your xls flat packs, then was wondering if I could try banging one of these together from scratch. Am dithering a bit. I was wondering how to make that tweeter countersink. I have not seen a router bit that wide with a bearing. My router experience is lacking.
Onion-skinning - it makes total sense!
Really nice video, thanks for sharing. Im considering doing some GR speakers that ill contact you later on, but just wondering if you could make the speakers cabinets of anything else beside MDF? like real wood or the routers wont work with it?
How would one go about placing an order? Also, ever do any of the A/V-3 floor stander cabinets?
Hi Peter do you take orders to do cnc cuts? was looking to build my own Dynaco A25's. I don't have a lot of wood working equipment. That machine you have is awesome. Wondering if you can give me a price to cut boxes for me? I can send you dimensions.
Hi Peter - as you know I'm planning to get a UK CNC company to make the XSLS and I want to know how to design the rabbets. Help!
Shoot! I shouldve had you cut me some encore cabinets! :)
wow, how much does something like that cost?
Is there a way that you may be willing to sell your CAD files for the router? So I can do those cuts on my local available CNC machine? I am in Ukraine, and it isn't very cost-effective to ship from USA.
Hi price?
