My hero. Two for one. Saws over scissors. As far as the hole goes.. Looks good to me. I doubt I'll do as well. I'm pretty sure they make stick-on hole reinforcements that will clean up my mistakes. I'd rather buy reinforcements than a specialty hole punch I'll never use again

What size drill bit did you use?

You can also cut them easily with sturdy, sharp scissors.

You can use scissors. I lined the blinds up and cut several of them at one time with a mitre saw.

Ok now how do I do this using scissors

This how I do it. Your way seems more complicated and time consuming. Use an old one and lay it over the one to be trimmed. Align the top , then use the bottom of the old one as a guide to mark. lay a metal ruler just barely above the line. Make a medium score with a utility knife using the ruler as a guide. Then bend the blind at the score line making sure the score line is on the outside of the bend. Similar to cutting sheetrock.

Anyone got a handy miter saw I can borrow really. We're talking about people who are doing this at home, not professionals.

Sorry but it does not look like a factory cut hole.... more of a ghetto hole
