Cutting The Whole Bottom Corner Off Auto Alex's Classic BMW E30! Restoration
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Well the episode started with tiny little difficult repairs, but ended up leading to me cutting the whole bottom corner pocket out of Auto Alex's classic BMW E30! It was much easier to do it this way than to try and work around it!

The patience, the crafting, the skill, the tunes, the jokes...my favourite KZread channel 👌
I really hope Alex appreciates what you do here and also reimburses you adequately. This is an insane amount of work.

It sucks that some KZreadrs get everything for free you see all over KZread for me it's just wrong.

@@TheMase60 It goes both ways in fact. This channel gets a lot of exposure thanks to Collin, Matt and Alex. It's an exchange. We'll get the views thanks to you and your channels, you'll get a repaired car in return.

@@blockbertus Now Shmee brought a car. I can assure that YCR are the ones proposing these deals, and not the KZreadrs taking their cars to them to fix. I have no proof, but I have no doubt. 😂
The amount of skill and craft on display here is insane…. I honestly can’t even comprehend the amount of patience needed to recreate that rear panel
Honestly it's kind of mind bending how you manage to piece together parts of a cars body that have obviously needed an expensive machine to stamp them out at the factory. Watching you piece them together like a jigsaw and then weld them so that they look like one seamless piece is brilliant to watch and I'm so glad you took on Colin Furze's BMW so I got directed to your channel and get to see the craftsmanship on display.
Ryan congratulations on your recovery from the last Roger episode. Just think once Roger is finished Alex has Phil for you to bless.
Can't wait to see the orange E9 in the background get started
I’m amazed at how the car can still be driven. Also how you can still cry . Some people would’ve started laughing on their own for no reason by now.
Incredible work
Something so therapeutic watching you work. Really wish this was an area I could have got into when left school. Ended up in a body shop doing an apprenticeship. Company ended up closing the bishop down and all work going 2 nationwide, and no one else would take me on. Car restoration is messneric
Outstanding yet again. I hope people realise the depths you go to in fabricating non available sections in order to keep the BringMyWallet E20 alive. Truely inspiring business, and the ultimate in recycling.
Awesome job Ryan - I salute your attention to detail 👍🙏
So far beyond economical repair it's ridiculous. But i could watch you fabricate that complex part all day. Bloody wizard with metal!

Not for E30s these days, they are becoming rarer.
Damn you are putting a lot of effort into Alex's car I really hope he is happy and loves what you have done.
Great fabrication again Ryan
Seems so rotten that I wonder if there will always be more hidden bits that won’t be uncovered without stripping it down to a shell… Seems to have dirt stuck in every crevice going.

Probably a given that there’s rust that won’t ever be spotted and is hidden away under panels and in between panels.
Fantastic to see a real panel beater craftsman at work. I know E30s are getting rare but surprised that you are not doing this on an old Ferrari, or something which justifies your skill, effort and time.

they are doing an old Aston Martin DB, but not on videos.
Looks like a car that's lived in the countryside with the amount of mud causing corrosion. Great bit of metalworking again from you, I just hope Alex doesn't wreck this car.
that battery tray fabrication, mad skills
Lovely work again, Ryan. Patience and Pride Prevail!!! But what a great sense of achievement, well done. Joe
After watching the 260Z (?) vid, relatively, this car is rust free!! Inspiring work, here in Oz we rarely see cars in this condition and wouldn’t repair them unless they were rare and expensive. Thanks for sharing this.
Just incredible work, mesmerizing just love watching the work and panels coming together. So nice to see a true craftsman.
Thanks for sharing how 3D stamped panels can be broken down in flat shapes bent and formed to look like oem
Ryan well done again I must have missed the episode where you removed the petrol tank!
Work of art ! Great skills. Love watching, tried doing something similar back when i was 16 years old when my mum gave me my 1st car to work on, her old vauxhall chevette that was heading to the breakers yard, completely full of holes but after many many hours & months in my dads garage with just a vice and basic tools and a limited budget i got her finished and as good as new! And through a MOT. Keep up the good work !
That's a lot of panels all coming together in that one area. Great fabrication skills Ryan ;)
Fantastic- that bottom section you made was amazing. thank you
Every episode your skill amazes me even more
Holy shit. BMW E30 is getting saved!!!! Legendary classic is getting SAVEEEDDDD

Impressive craftsmanship !!
Simply wonderful craftsmanship
Thanks for the video. Slowly but surely you are getting there. So much rust! Keep fighting it Ryan. You are doing a great job on Roger.
This bottom section blew my mind. Can't wait another week for the next part of the video .
absolute masterclass!
Hey Ryan, that's some very impressive hand fabrication work ! Now I can understand why these restorations can take such a long time. Keep up the great job......... It's a real pleasure to watch. 👍🔥👍🔥
Excellent work!
Great stuff Ryan, I have learnt a lot from you guys
Absolutely brilliant 👏
Love your work, cheers.
So all good love watching. We see the way you form panels etc but we need a video explaining your welding technique. Wire size, gas flow, settings, why you weld to a cut gap instead of lapping the joint etc. keep up the good work.
Clever boys. Well done 👍
Brilliant as always
Just brilliant stuff.
Just this sec commented on waiting for upload Ryan so chuffed this just popped up to watch 👍🏻😉👏👏
And all this is despite huge strides in automotive design and rust prevention in the 1980s......
awesome skills
This is so educational. And skills..
Enjoyed that fabrication no end, fantastic piece of work.....
great its a work of art keep going hope to see it at shed fest
Masterpiece!

Hey Ryan nice to see you again doing your amazing fab work we all got worried about u and Steve when the next matt Armstrong video on but hope you and Steve are well ok love respect to u both
Very nice, just keep doing what your doing 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Bravo. You sub-divided the rear storage floor into 7 panels and didn’t slow down. Well done
German cars of the 80s make Minis and MX5s look like an absolute piece of piss to make panels for! Great work as always from you guys!
Great work as usual. Got some cars in there. E9 another e30 and 911 and the mantas back
Nice job Ryan
Damn - thanks for keeping it real
Looks lovely! Will you be doing the round dimpled portion between the two beads?
I was wondering if any of you know the track he uses for the videos. I really enjoyed that the whole way through. And you got some really impressive and good craftmanship on that car! Great job!

So to answer my own question. I found one of the tracks. It's called Lucid - Nomyn
bloddy amazing rian
Looking really good . Will you be doing videos of that E30 323i saloon ?
You’re such a craftsman.
it's a bit like origami with sheetmetal...good job!
Seeing all these bmers with this much rust reminds me of the mid 80's chevy trucks in the USA.
Wow. Fantastic craftsmanship. Well done!😊
That's one hell of a jigsaw! 👍
7:35 That sinking feeling when you cut through and there is exterior paint on the reverse….
Wow, people love their BMW'S.. 😊 And they love their other cars as well!! ❤ So do we here in sunny and hot South Africa, where all cars away from the coast basically don't rust!! 😢😂
Is the Dinitrol RC900 spray better than the Mipa Miparox rust spray? Only just noticed you have changed to it. Many thanks.
Remember doing this as a teenager but only had gas welding equipment , did you remember to grind the inside of the fuel tube after welding
Top work again. That car is pretty rotten, but cool that it’s being saved.
You've outdone yourself with that back section. That's just sexy
Awesome fabrication as always. One question - why do you drill for spot welds when your dad uses a hole punch?

Nice to see a fiat Dino coupe above the mazda project
Are there no patch panels available ?
After the last video, I thought it was gonna get scrapped. Glad it isn’t.
Alex, that battery tray looking section around the 20:00 mark was off the chain great work. Thank you for sharing it with us. Respect. Cheers.
Out of interest are you using a piece of old railway track as a former? If so that’s pretty cool great work by the way 👌

Definitely looks that way, I know many people use them to make small anvils for doing small metal Smithing work etc so it'd make sense.
Need to ship you my Mk1 Miata from the U.S., ive got some gnarly quarter rust that im deathly afraid of doing 😂. Totally more cost effective to ship across half my country and a full ocean than find a local shop that isnt a hack right?
Hi what make is the bead roller thanks 👍
It is always worse than it looks....Isn't there a better solution for the fuel lines running through the wheel arch to prevent this from happening again?.Great work Ryan
She will be a nice PMW (Patchwork Motor Wercke).
Ryan, you're clearly addicted- sniffing rust dust... 😅
You Can use it as a Bob-sleigh Down the slopes. 😂👍
You just don't realise what a horrid little rot-box this BMW is... It's def in the right hands...
btw, how the sander at 5:00 called?
Marcus, love the car video's, but the on track? Wish I didn't have to work and play with my cars. Not a diss, but. Xx
That last section you made is not just like the original, no rust lol...
Nomyn - lucid
AutoAlex, Carthrottel and you should find a way together. CT is dying due to bad management.
Where haw you the fire extinguisher. And why you not using cutting protection on cutting machines? Wery naise work on this wery bad cars ++++ MR Mats from sweden o
Every now and then when I watch videos on this car, I wonder if AA found this car on the bottom of a lake of acid.
who knew Jorginho could do fabrication...
