This is a great video but don't waste your time with a guitar string, the steel doesn't have enough resistance and it will break instantly. Get yourself some 28 guage kanthal or nichrome wire on amazon. They have high resistance and melting points and will burn all day long. Really curious what the heck "lot wire" is because it seems to do just fine too.

Awesome 👍🏽 it’s “lock wire” mate, used in automotive too stop nuts coming off (hole drilled through the shank of the bolt, wire is threaded through and twisted back on itself) and for tying spacers to concrete reinforcing mesh.

Would be better if I could hear what you are saying. I get the principal but want to know the calculations to work out voltage and wire size
