Uvhave a limited time to prove or disprove the genetics before u can return the snake. Theres other reason but if you dont know dont do it. But also dont judge. Aep knows what they're doin

This is something that should definitely not become common practice. At that point the breeders that do this are letting us know they only view these snakes as money and not living creatures. Just wait for a shed. It’s not the end of the world. Unless you have to meet profit quotas aka viewing these living creatures as money.

Yea, I don’t support that at all. I understand it’s harmless for the snake *if done correctly* as the same kind of methods are used in field research - but we’re just talking about verifying genetics here. A shed is easier to obtain and safer. The reality is, people will attempt this and mess it up. If this method catches steam, we will see the horror stories - guaranteed.

I just hope that one day is affordable enough to be able to test every snake in multiple clutches, so they come with a certificate for the clients. Right now, it too expensive .

Don't really understand why we can't just wait for a shed here? Just kinda seems like impatience and money grabbing. With all the scrutiny already on the hobby this doesn't feel like something that should become wide spread. I obviously understand no harm has come to the snake but why take the risk of infection or accidently causing injury to the animal out of impatience?

The Ball Python breeding corporation system already feels like trying to get away with the least ethical way of making money without it being “unethical” this feels like another part of that. To many careless people that would hurt a snake with this method.
