BUT I STILL RESPECT THIS GUY BECAUSE HE INSPIRED ME TO BECOME THE CHAMPION I BECAME BECAUSE HE WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PROPER DJ I SAW DOING SPIN BACKS AND HE INSPIRED ME TO BECOME A DJ!! BUT I GOT SO GOOD I BEAT HIM IN THE WORLD FINALS TO BECOME 3RD BEST IN THE WORLD 3 YEARS LATER! HARD WORK PAYS OFF! X

Went to a Cutmaster Swift show once in the early '90s. Then was booked to warm up for him the next year. Was a great night, playing alongside one of your heroes. A technical DJ for sure.

Back in the days when the Audience got Loud & hype.. good old days.

I'd say what Cutmaster Swift brought to this was a UK twist, the faster breaks including the switch up to 45rpm and some of the grooves that are still held as key records of 89, like It Takes Two and Sleep Talk. This year was crucial to the development of the breakbeat scene in UK which grew into hardcore then jungle. But the tricks are all a re-run from Cash Money the previous year and much more sloppy. His dance is the most memorable thing about this routine!

You Got That Right.

To give the guy his props, Swift was awesome! On this set though, life served him up a turd which he done his best to polish. Nothing went right from start to finish but he just went with it and done the best he could. Even the bloody chair wouldn't work. He ended up trying to use a set up that was meant for use from a high point, using theside of his face. Man, that's versatile. Go Cutmaster Swift, you were f*cking amazing. Say Hi to Mum please. ;-)

Came for the set, stayed for the dancing.

Five minutes in I realize the turntables are not in battle position. Mad props. Gonna go watch Aladdin now. Who's here in 2020?

Aladdin's set was far better. Swift won because his home crowd cheered the loudest for him. His set had many mistakes
